Indications
Temporarily relieves these symptoms due to hay fever or other upper respiratory allergies: runny nose, sneezing, itchy, watery eyes, itching of the nose or throat.

Do not use if you have ever had an allergic reaction to this product or any of its ingredients. Ask a doctor before use if you have liver or kidney disease. Your doctor should determine if you need a different dose. When using this product do not use more than directed. Taking more than recommended may cause drowsiness. Stop use and ask a doctor if an allergic reaction to this product occurs. Seek medical help right away. If pregnant or breast-feeding, ask a health professional before use. Keep out of reach of children. In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.

I have used Alavert in the past in it's orignal mint flavor. When ordering this I considered the taste. It tastes very good considering it's an allergy med. It works fast and it works a long time. I really like that I don't have to wait for it to go thru my entire system to work. When I'm itching or sneezing I need help then not 20min later. I recommend this med because it does what it says and works quick.

I suffer from severe perennial rhinitis. For years I took a prescription drug for it. When that drug became a non-prescription item, I looked for an alternative due to the price. I started using Alavert and found it quite effective. I felt it was easy to take and pricing was good.
I love the fact that you don't need water. I always have one in my purse in case I run into something I am allergic to and do not have a drink handy. Its the most effective antihistamine I have ever used.
These tablets taste horrible. My 11 year old takes loratadine daily to maintain his allergies and uses the disintegrating tablets since he hasn't learned how to swallow pills yet. There are a couple of generic store brands out there and of course Claritin Reditabs (which are much more expensive). But I will NEVER purchse this brand again. It may work, but the taste of this product is horrible, much worse than the others. Stuck with a box of 59 since Drugstore.com won't take them back.
I started using this product a few years ago and won't go back to any of the past products I tried. Alavert is fast acting. The disintegrating tablets are nice to take anywhere when needed and can be used without water. I highly recommend this product!
I work in a machine shop and the air quality is poor. It causes stuffy sinus and slight chest congestion. Also, this year has been especially bad for my regular allergies. Alavert relieves my symptoms.
For me, Alavert works more effectively than Claritin and Allegra. Also, Alavert is also cost effective. It works almost instantly because it dissolves and it tastes great.

great for kids because its chewable. I prefer this over the messy liquid stuff for kids and the price is WAY better. . If you need to cut in half for a reduced dose its safe to do so.
Alavert is the only OTC allergy medicine that works effectively for me for seasonal allergies. I've tried Benadryl, Zyrtec, store brand ones, but they make me groggy and don't seem to work as well.
The problem is that, for some reason, I cannot find Alavert in many of my local stores. I was so happy to find them here on drugstore.com and that it was a large size (good price, too).
The orange flavored ones (quick dissolve) are also my favorite.
Alavert is a fast-acting antihistamine, perfect if a patient feels trouble coming; it has the best packaging, particularly for someone whose dexterity is starting to decline because of histamine release.
