Best sunblock ever! by Dave's girl in Los Angeles, CA on 8/13/08Pros: Effective Protection, Gentle enough for face, Non-comedogenic, Not Greasy, UVA/UVB Protection Cons: White streaks Describe Yourself: Quality Oriented Best Uses: Beach, Daily Use Bottom Line: recommended This is the best sunblock ever! It does not have a greasy feel/look or leave me "smelling like the beach". It is gentle enough even for my sensitive facial skin, without making me break out or itch. I agree with another customer that it works well under make-up as a "primer" as well as alone. Be sure to let it dry at least 15 min.
The only drawback is that it will leave a white residue or streaks if it is not blended in evenly or if you apply too much. Yeah, they say "liberally", but don't apply it too liberally or you'll have streaks!!
I used to use Coppertone's SPF 30 lotion, but it made me smell "beachy" with a greasy feel. Since I discovered this from Neutrogena, I never went back. Neutrogena has a reputation for quality products, and this delivers!
It has a light fragrance which I like too. It will not clash with deodorant or perfume.
Amazing stuff by Virginia user in Virginia on 7/11/08Pros: Effective Protection, Not Greasy, Rubs In Well, Sweatproof, Waterproof Describe Yourself: Quality Oriented Best Uses: Beach, Daily Use, Sports, Swimming Bottom Line: recommended I love this stuff!!!! I have incredibly oily skin and this is the only sunscreen that I use faithfully on my face. Not greasy feeling, no breakouts. It is truly amazing.
I have used several kinds ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 6/1/08I have used several kinds of Neutrogena sunblock in the past few years and love most of them. Like some other reviewers, however, my eyes are highly sensitive to certain ingredients in the UltraSheer Dry-Touch. I wore it several times outdoors on 80- to 90-degree days. I kept it at least an inch away from my eyes when applying to my face. But by the end of the day I could hardly opened my eyes. It could be the sweat, or just natural diffusion, that got the irritants to my eyes. This never happened to me before.
A word to the wise that ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 6/21/07A word to the wise that this sunscreen is not for those with sensitive skins. My eyes started badly watering after application and required quick removal. The Neutrogena sunscreen for sensitive skins is a better alternative, but only has SPF 15 coverage.
This is by far the BEST ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 6/7/07This is by far the BEST facial sunscreen I've ever used. It's not greasy, isn't overly shiny, has a great texture, protects well, and has a nice smell. I used it for the first time on the day I drove from Las Vegas back to California, and halfway through the drive I touched my face expecting to feel an oil slick, but it was dry (and remained non-oil-slicked for the rest of the day)! My only problem with this product is that it contains BHT and benzyl alcohol.
This is a makeup primer ... by sarah in Dulles, VA on 5/15/07This is a makeup primer masquerading as sunscreen. It leaves my skin satiny-smooth and primed for my makeup much better than a moisturizer, which makes me start sweating before I can even get the powder on. It hurts if it gets in your eyes, but you can feel virtuous knowing you're doing the best thing to prevent aging while not feeling sticky or gross. THE best sunscreen ever.
My girlfriend is really ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 4/26/07My girlfriend is really picky and hates greasy lotions (including sunscreens). This is fantastic. High SPF, and it feels almost powdery, if you can even feel it at all. Doesn't get in the eyes and comes in various SPF's. Not really any noticeable/bothersome scent, and we're a sensitive people.
I LOVE this sunscreen. ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 4/3/07I LOVE this sunscreen. Not at all greasy feeling/looking, so perfect for your face. A little expensive to use all over your body though. I've never noticed a scent - maybe I just expect sunscreen to have a scent. Highly recommended - I buy it whenever I see it, because it seems like the SPF 30 is hard to come by.
The only sunscreen that ... by A in Undisclosed on 2/27/07The only sunscreen that ever stays on me while I am swimming!
I have to wear my contacts with goggles while swimming and I got so tired of other waterproof sunscreens stinging in my eyes from sweat and water - this stuff is magical! No drops in my eyes after swimming for over an hour!
This is an amazing product. The most waterproof rubproof sweatproof sunscreen around, and I've tried them ALL (so much money wasted!). Perfect for contact wearers with sweaty faces or swimmers!
I wouldn't wear it for everyday use on my face, because it's overkill...and there are are probably lighter products if you don't need sweatproof/waterproof protection.
But it is the ONLY thing I can wear on my face for sports and swimming - I love it!!
It's the best sunblock ... by Kate in Fairfax, VA on 2/20/07It's the best sunblock going. It feels light and not greasy, I love the smell (kind of fresh), and does not break my face out. I don't mind wearing sunscreen with this stuff. |
