The UltraSheer sunblock goes on with a dry feel and is not greasy, but you have to take more time to blend it into your skin because it doesn't feel like it absorbs as easily. The dry feel makes it difficult to judge how much you have put on or how much you need. So in my opinion, use this sunblock in lower temperatures with less intense sun. For high heat and intense sun, I would feel more comfortable with a regular, more oily sunblock. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

It goes on like any other sunscreen, but after about a minute or so, your skin has a matte finish and feels soft to the touch (not greasy at all). I've been using it daily for several weeks with no breakouts. I did notice that when my skin was really dry from a new cleanser (as in peeling) this moisturizer didn't absorb well. However, I applied St. Ives Eye and Face Stress Gel to the area, and let it soak in before using the sunscreen, and that helped a great deal. I really wanted to find a sunblock since I've been hearing you should wear it everyday if you want to preserve your youth. So I began my hunt last year. I've tried so many other brands but I just couldn't handle the smell all day, or the greasy, shiny look it gave my skin. I got a sample of this somewhere so I gave it a try and I was simply amazed!! It gives my skin a matte look instead of that horrible shine. I don't even have to use the shine control lotion I used to apply over my other SPF lotions. It looks great when you first apply it, but after an hour or so the sunscreen begins to run. Your face ends up shiny. I don't burn with this as a reviewer stated, although I do have to make sure I'm applying a sufficient amount since it blends so easily and smoothly that you might put on less accidentally than you would with the greasy, gooey kind. Just make sure you put it on evenly and maybe go over especially exposed or sensitive areas, like your nose or shoulders -- try it you'll love it. I used it for a couple of days and broke out overnight (literally) after using this and it persisted for over a month. When I went to a dermatologist for help and told him that I thought this sunscreen caused it, he told me that he has gotten similar complaints from his patients. (I couldn't even remember the name of the sunscreen but when I described the symptoms, he knew which one I was talking about.)
