this is the best acne cleanser I have ever used - the only thing that has worked. My skin is clear and calm like never before, with no new breakouts. Meanwhile it is improving the overall look of my skin and my pores are smaller. It did take medication to get my adult acne (age 30) under control (doxicyclene) but this cleanser has kept my skin clear once I've gone off it. My skin gets less oily in the afternoon now. I use in conjunction with the Gentle Acne Treatment Gel, and the Skin Perfecting Lotion. A sample of Murad's amazing Skin Perfecting lotion was what turned me onto the brand. Murad is a bit pricey, but a little goes a long way. I use morning and evening, at night removing my makeup with another cleanser followed by this cleanser for one full minute - to ensure acne causing bacteria is killed. The cleanser is actually cooling so it feels really good to wash your face with it - and it feels balanced - not stripped - when I'm done. I follow with the gel then the lotion or one or the other depending on how my skin feels.

My dermatologist's spa recommended this cleanser. I really like it. It is a basic cleanser that is a great cleaner but doesn't irritate my skin. I have serious cystic acne and find that this is really a great, effective choice. I would recommend anyone with acne to give this one a try.

I've heard so many great things about Murad but when it came down to it, it was no better than Neutrogena or other drugstore products. I saw no change for the better or worse from this product. Sigh. Back to the drawing board....

This product works amazingly well. I have very sensitive skin and this did not over dry or irritate my skin. I use it once or twice a day followed by the murad on the spot treatment and have had great results. i would describe my skin as fairly clear with pimples on my forehead and a few blackheads on my chin. Nothing major, but this keeps it all under control.

This is the only cleanser I've found that cleans my face gently, not leaving it with that tight feeling, yet takes off every speck of my makeup (including mascara). I absolutely love it!

Just try it for yourself.. I am a believer and hooked! I just turned 40 and until 6 mos. ago I had consistant moderate acne. I thought I was doomed- I bought the acne line of products from Murad as "another try" and to my amazement it worked GREAT!! I've tried Proactive like everyone else and nothing... This is a Great line of prodcuts, non-drying, non-iritating- it JUST WORKS!

This product is good if you have mild, occasional break outs & you have very sensitive skin. If you suffer from more severe, acne/prone skin then this product is not strong enough. This only decreased a very few break outs but did nothing on my acne scars, pock marks, red marks, or over-all health of my skin.

Its active ingredient is only salicylic acid, which is very common in acne treatments, so you could probably find a less expensive product that works as well. The product burns the skin a little (tingle), and the scent could be a little better, but the product still works. Overall OK.

I purchased the whole Murad Acne product line and it is the only thing that has ever worked for my acne. I am a 22 year old female and I have had constant moderate acne for the last 4 years. I've tried Proactiv and just about every other over the counter product; all of the above just dried out my skin and did nothing for my acne. The cleanser is not drying at all and gives your face a great refreshing tingle. I use the whole line 2x a day and my skin has never looked or felt better. It's worth every penny!

This product is wonderful and works quickly. I am a 31 year old female that has problems with breakouts around my mouth and chin. I have used ProActiv and the LOreal Acne Response Kit which have given me some relief (never complete relief). I am less than a week into using this, and it has cleared everything from my face (I still have 2 or 3 red marks from where I was broken out). I use it twice a day and leave it on while I brush my teeth. I tone afterwards with a glycolic toner (DDF), and I use the pomegranate moisturizer since it has SPF 15. I don't love the moisturizer, but I do love this cleanser!
