This stuff works really well. I've been using it for about 5 months now and the difference is amazing. Seriously though, follow the directions and take it slow. It took about a month for my skin to calm down, but my pores looked smoother, smaller, and clearer really quickly. I had tryed EVERYTHING prior to this, including very expensive monthly treaments. This has by far had the most consistent and dramatic effect on my horrible adult acne. I wish it had more natural ingredients in it. I'm really not a fan of triclosan, not to happy with the hydrogen peroxide, either. My skin looks really good though, so I will keep using it until I find a more natural alternative.

When I first started using this product, I would apply it at night. I started noticing that my already semi-oily skin was becoming more oily when I woke up. Ugh. Also, my skin is not sensitive, but it began very dry and itchy from using this product with other Murad products.

The salicylic acid and the retinol are great, but there is just no reason to have denatured alcohol as the 2nd ingredient! No wonder people have problems with redness, dryness, etc. Yes, it leaves a nice feel to the surface of the skin, and the active ingredients are great, but this would be 1000 times better without the alcohol.

The reading material that came with this product stated that my skin would "purge" all impurities to the surface within the first few weeks of use. As a result, for a while my acne got worse before it got better (being honest). It's been about 6 weeks now and my skin is looking great. My breakouts have decreased 90%. Use it just as Murad says: only at night for the first 2 weeks and gradually increase use to twice a day. I'm telling you, this really does work. Be patient! If your skin hasn't been responding to Benzoyl Peroxide (i.e. ProActiv), try this. ProActiv didn't work for me (out of millions of people - which was stressful). Salicylic acid works better for my skin and it may work better for yours. :)

I love the whole Murad line. I have been using it for about 6 weeks and my skin is so clear. In the beginning I didn't like this product, but now I really like it. It can burn or tingle and is a little drying so I would start using it 1x a day or every other day to see how your skin handles it. Give it time to work, as with any acne product it will probably get worse before it gets better. The only downside is the price, it is a little much. Follow up with Murad's skin perfecting lotion to really sooth your skin.

Great product. I used to break out all over my forehead and cheek area and this product really helped me. It didn't dry out my skin like some other harsh products do. I have oily skin with moderate acne. This is a must have!

I'm addicted to Murad. I have oily skin (Mediterranean complexion) and large pores. My first steps to clear skin were washing with a mild cleanser (Cetaphil) and using a moisturizer (so as to avoid irritating skin by over-drying), and washing my pillowcases every other day (hair oil transfer to cheek - think about it). Still, I needed more and this product is precisely what I needed. I've used the 3-week product, and now swear by both the moisturizer (though I'll "cheap out" and go w/Clean and Clear's salycilic acid moisturizer) and this product. I've not yet found a cheaper alternative; it's been a godsend.

Hate it. If you have sensitive skin and moderate acne, don't waste your money. I've been using the Murad Acne complex for 3 weeks and I see no more improvement than when I started. After washing (which my skin was already dried out from), I'd put this on and it'd leave a sticky feeling on my skin plus it burns profusely. I'm a 14-year-old teenage girl who's tried just about everything like Proactive, ZenMed, etc. Nothing has helped at all. If you're like me, don't try this product. My advice? Buy some less expensive cleanser and see a dermatologist. I'm fed up so that's what I'm gonna do.

I love this product. It really clears out your pores and makes them look visibly smaller because they are clearer. I like the fact that this product sinks in and leaves no sticky residue like other products of this nature do. I can wear my make up right over this product. I still can't believe that at the ripe old age of 43 that I still have to worry about breakouts.
