Usage: This FUTURO SPORT® Deluxe Ankle Stabilizer is designed to help provide strength, protection, and rigid support to stiff, weak or injured ankles. Use while wearing a low-heeled, closed walking or athletic shoe. For best performance and comfort, wear a sock underneath the stabilizer. Wear all day or during activities which lead to discomfort.

This is the first ankle support that I have ever used that is easy to put on and provides real support. Works effectively whether you are on the basketball court or after you have injured your ankle and want to help it heal. I first used this after an injury and it helped my ankle heal quickly. I now use two everytime I play basketball to avoid injuries.

Purchased thinking this was the exact same model as one used for several years successfully. The velcro was wearing out on the old one. The problem is that the criss-cross straps are about 2" shorter than the older version - the savings in material by the manufacturer results in a costly dis-satisfaction for me as a customer! The velcro straps BARELY reach around the ankle to the velcro pads on the ankle support and will not hold securely as a resulT. I will have to buy velcro material and modify the length of the straps in order to use this product.

I recently broke my ankle and am just starting to walk in normal shoes, rather than in the special boot I wore for weeks. My doctor suggested I find an ankle support brace to use for several weeks. I am very happy with this as it is easy to put on, comfortable, provides the needed support, and will fit in an athletic shoe and in my winter boots. If you decide you don't want one or both stays, they can be removed by carefully slitting the area just above the top of the stay with an exacto knife, then carefully pulling it (the stay) out. If you did that, however, you would be substantially reducing the support. I can't speak to its effectiveness for sports, but I am very happy with the product for my purposes and would recommend it.

Open all hook fasteners and slide foot into the stabilizer. Loop the top strap through the buckle, pull and secure it. Fit should feel firm, yet comfortable.
Pull the left foot strap up and across, attaching the hook fastener to the opposite side of the ankle stabilizer.
Follow the same directions for remaining strap. Adjust both straps until fit around bottom of foot feels firm, yet comfortable.
Care: Attach all closures before washing. Hand wash with mild soap in warm (not hot) water. Rinse well and air-dry. Do Not: machine wash, tumble dry, dry clean, use bleach or fabric softeners.
