Absolutely amazing!! This is the third epilator I have owned, and far surpasses both of my previous ones. I had the original EpiLady (ouch), and my most recent was a Braun model. Although both performed well, the Emjoi Optima was faster, caused no pain, and removed more hair than the others. I already do both legs and bikini area, but thus far have not been unable to do my underarms with my previous models due to the extreme pain. Now, I can throw away my razor and do everything with the Emjoi Optima. Outstanding product. I will recommend this to everyone I know!!

This is not for the weak hearted. However, with time the results are great and it is much faster than my old single headed system. Not much good for the bikini area because I can't get into the smaller areas wheel, but it does zip right on through the legs! Saves me a lot of time there.

For me this was a waste of money. It hurt a lot and left welts on my skin. I only tried it on my legs and anywhere that the skin was near to the bone was especially painful. I'm glad that I tried it, but I can't recommend it due to my experience.

I have been using this product for two years now and am very happy with it. It works well on the underarms, but it always hurts a little (like light rubber band snaps) when you first put it to the area to be de-haired. It does a good job, but I find I still need to use a tweezer to remove stray hairs that were missed (even though I went over the spot over and over again). Also, expect it to miss more hairs if the hairs are too short to be removed. Still, this is better than doing an at-home waxing job that is messy, and even the professionals miss about the same amount of hairs anyway.

Obviously, there is no perfect way to remove unwanted hair. But, for the legs, this is THE BEST. Hair doesn't have to be as long as it does for waxing, and the more taut you keep your leg skin, the less painful it is. Eventually, it gets less painful after continued use, because: (1) hair grows back finer, and after your initial treatment, it grows in intervals, making maintenance easier, and: (2) you get used to it. Oddly enough, it is less painful at the bikini area. Of course you need to do it a few times a week to maintain optimal results, but it's better than shaving and razor burn every other day, to achieve less desirable results. If you don't mind some extra occasional tweezing, it's great. When used in conjunction with the shaving adapter, you can't beat it. This is a wonderful system for my legs, and helpful for my bikini area.

I love this! I have cut down on doing my legs to about twice a month. Sure, there is some discomfort, but come on...better 10 minutes of discomfort twice a month, rather than shaving every day or so!

OUCH!!! I followed all recommendations for this product. I used the loofah, I made sure the skin was taut, etc., and it was still one of the most painful and ineffective hair removal methods I'd ever tried. I am really disappointed after hearing the hype for this, and now I'm really regretting the loss of my precious money for nothing.

This is a fantastic machine. I don't recommend using on legs. However, I use mine on my arms (they have a lot of dark hair), and I could not be happier. It's barely painful and has predictably great results. I am glad I paid the money for this machine, even if for only one part of my body. I do it once a month.

This was less painful than the (5-10 years old) Epilady's, but still felt like lots of electric shocks. My biggest complaint was that it missed a lot of hairs, even when I went over the same spot in different directions.
