I love Neutrogena products, but this one just didn't work for me. Unfortunately, it caused cyctic acne all over my face and neck. My skin is not at all sensitive but is somewhat acne prone. Normally cleansers and facial products don't cause any problem for me, even those contaiing oil. I like the other products in this line, but I cannot recommend this one and will not buy again.

I was having a crisis (hormonal acne, trying to find a cleanser that would work with my fine lines, dealing with large pores and blackheads), so I went online and did some research then went to the drugstore. I picked this cleanser up after finding out they were out of the Olay cleanser I was looking for. And thank goodness I did!! So far, it's working great for my combination, large-pored, 28 year-old skin. This mildy foaming cleanser leaves my skin feeling very clean yet soft, and visibly reduces the look of my pores and blackheads. It seems to really help reduce fine lines as well (I have some on my forehead, around my eyes and between my nose/mouth - laugh lines I suppose). And it really helps my acne. Plus I love the smell. :)I use this daily with Healthy Skin Moisturizer w/ SPF 15 for AM and Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle Cream for PM. I really love Neutrogena Combination Skin Oil-Free Moisturizer, but it doesn't come in a variety with SPF so I usually don't use it. :(

Works great it made my skin glow. I kind of have sensitive skin and the only thing I have to complaine about is it drys out the sides of my nose alittle. Other than that Great!

Neutrogena seems to work well for many people, but I think the two of us don't mix. Every Neutrogena product I have tried hasn't worked for me, and this one only made things worse! I'm 25 and have dry but acne prone skin, and all this cleanser did was break me out and dry my skin out even more. I had gotten my acne under control with other products and it was clear before I used this, but I had wanted an anti-aging product also, so I thought I'd give this a try. It made my skin painfully dry and tight. (Doesn't dryness lead to wrinkles?) And my previously clear skin broke out horribly. This may be good for someone with oily or combo skin, but I would not recommend it for someone with dry or sensitive skin.

I tried this product once and then put on a light mosturizer. I was out shopping and just while driving I started getting sunburned. This product should not be used for sensitive skin or without a spf of at least 30.

My skin is oily on my nose, upper cheeks and chin, but dry around my forehead and lower cheeks. I have been using very expensive anti-aging products for about six years now and they were okay, my skin was just okay..but with this product, my skin feels and looks refreshed. I have balanced, less blemished skin now and I'm very happy with the product, just a little concerned with buying drugstore products because the manufactures tend to stop making it suddenly..I hope Neutrogena continues making this!!

I like this product because it smells good, doesn't burn, and leaves your complexion brighter. I did notice a little dryness, but not so bad that I won't keep using it.

First off, let me say that I have tried everything under the sun from prescriptions, to foams, to pads, to scrubs...you name it. I played very competitive sports which caused me to sweat alot and do the ole whipe the face on the tshirt thing...gross. Being that I was a teenager at the time living at home anything my mom used, I used as she had the same skin problems that I did. One day she brought home this product and I noticed it in the shower and thought well I don't have wrinkles but I do have blemishes so "hey I'll try it." Within one week my face made a complete 180. It was clearer, more even toned, and smoother. I will warn you that depending on your face type, it may sting a little and it may make your face initially dry or break out slightly...but the reason is that the alpha hydroxy etc. is sloughing off layers of skin and bringing to the surface all the problems you were having. My daily routine is using this face wash followed by the Neutrogena pore refining toner which amazingly does NOT sting or dry your face out...and then the anti wrinkle cream moisturizer. Every other day or so or if i wore an extra amount of makeup that night I start with an exfoliating scrub before the wash just to get off any extras. I was amazed because once I used my husband's brand because mine was out, and when I used the toner it didn't even look like I washed my face...ALL OF MY MAKEUP WAS STILL LEFT ON MY FACE! With this, clean as a whistle. I was actually told by an esthetician that I have amazing skin...and trust me...I have NEVER heard that before or would have even considered myself someone with mediocre skin. So to end all of my ramblings...YES this product is amazing...and YES to get the full effect you should pair it with other things that your skin needs (a good toner, moisturizer) and you will see dramatic differences. I have been using this product for years and don't know what i would do if they ever took it off the market. :(

I have combination skin and use this cleanser everyday. It really cleans your skin without drying. I mix it with the Neutrogena Deep Clean scrub and get the softest and cleanest skin you can imagine.

Dealing with acne again after forty years is no fun! This is the only product I've found that addresses both issues and works.
