I have combination skin, was experiencing some adult acne, and have started to develop some fine lines around my eyes and mouth. While I haven't noticed much improvement in regard to fine lines, my skin is incredibly clear, and has a much more even tone to it. The consistency of the product is a little strange, sort of mucous-y, but once you get by that, it's a good product. I do think it would be better in a pump or flip-cap bottle though - the screw cap is kind of annoying. | |||||||||||||||||||||||

It is very hard to lather up and because of that it was hard to really wash my makeup off, oil etc. I have oily skin and it did not wash off clean; it left a greasy residue. | GREAT CLEANSER. I am 41 ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 1/26/05GREAT CLEANSER. I am 41 years old with very sensitive combination/oily skin. After using this cleanser only 1 time, my face felt so smooth and clean and actually looked more vibrant. I had no stinging of any kind or redness (after using "alpha hydrox" products my face was fried and so red it looked like a tomato). No flakes or residue of any kind either. It really helped with my oily t zone and prepares my skin for Neutrogena's alpha hydroxy lotion for sensitive skin. I do alternate this with Alba's Hawaiian Cleanser with the pineapple and papaya enzymes, which is fantastic also and their papaya mask. Anyway, I cannot say enough good things about this cleanser. I chose it based on using the personal profile at the Neutrogena website, and have stuck with their recommendations for 3 months now, with good to great results - a huge improvement in my skin overall. I figured I could kill two birds with one stone and fight my adult acne while preventing fine lines. I didn't really notice a difference with my wrinkles, and my acne actually got worse. I found the consistency of the product a little weird. I felt like I had to use a lot of the product to get my skin clean and even after rinsing, I still felt as if I had cleanser on my skin. I have used it for over a year and have not had any irritation or breakouts--just clean, smooth skin. It has very small, even exfoliant beads. I use it in the morning only and make sure it sits on my face for 20-30 seconds before I add a little water to foam it more. If necessary, I reapply it to my forehead, nose or along my jaw line. It does not dry out my skin! I hope they continue to make this cleanser because it makes my skin look and feel like smooth porcelain.
