I fly as many as 140 flights a year. If you have a cold, sinus issues or are just sensitive to changes in air pressure these earplanes will positively help. Get the children's size is your child even has sniffles. I'd even buy a pair just in case if it is the first time anyone has flown.

my doctor recommended this product as I was having excruciating pain in my ears when the plane was descending. He recommends that you use the Afrin and the EarPlanes one hour before landing. We flew to Hawaii recently and used this product and what a relief! No pain what so ever. We will always have 2 pairs on hand when we fly!

A friend recommended these to me a few years ago. I have flown several times since and find earplanes to be a must on every flight. They have helped tremendously with ear pressure. No more ear pain and I can hear clearly when landing. I was also able to cut out chewing gum while flying. I now buy these for all my friends when they are getting ready to fly. If you have a small ear canal, you might want to try the childs size.

I used to be deaf and in pain for hours after flying then my doctor recommended these and it's never hurt since. They're fantastic!

Each leg of a trip, you need a pair. So with US domestic flights so often with at least 1 stop-over, I usually need 4 pairs for round-trips. Do not try to reuse, trip after trip. The last couple of years, every package has had a bonus third pair. I do not think there is any shelf life at all - just keep them in a warm clean place. They come in a convenient plastic small case. I definitely need them on ascent and descent, but I do not use them once we have levelled off. Would not travel with out them. You will save a bundle over any local drug-store.

Every flight landing produced severe ear pain. Used these for the first time and how wonderful! Pain-free landing for first time in over 30 years of flying. Be sure to insert 30 minutes before as directed.

Just used these for the first time on a flight to/from the Hawaiian islands with no ear pain or pressure whatsoever. Do read the directions. Also used them at night to muffle to the sound of the island roosters. Highly recommended.

These work very well during long flights to prevent buildup of uncomfortable pressure in the ears. I have recommended them to many friends and relatives. One thing to be aware of, the adult size is very large and you might want to consider the so-called children's size which is just a slightly smaller version more comfortable.

Using EarPlanes in combination with nasal decongestant (1 hour prior to take-off) has solved the pain of flying for my husband. No more pain during descent, and no more plugged ears for next several days. Won't fly without them.
