I use this with a Badger Hair Shaving Brush and a Gillette Mach 3 razor. It is more economical than canned foam, and the warm lather takes only a minute or so to produce.
It provides a more pleasant shave, and longer razor blade life than do the foams or gells. The scent is faint, and not as pleasant as some "luxury" brands of cake shaving soap, but it is much cheaper. The shave is as good or better than other brands. Colgate is about equivalent.

This is a fine product. It is inexpensive, it does what it is supposed to do, and it does it very well. It is not slimy like one of the premium brands mentioned in another review.

Can't beat the price. I am able to build a foam easily and quickly. However it does seem to fade quickly. That is not so much a problem for me but it took a while to get used to the scent. It's just a clean soapy smell. almost an antiseptic smell. (NO Perfumes added maybe?) I had read and heard it was difficult to use, hard to build a lather etc. Not so much except losing the foam quickly. I may just not of figured how to do it right yet. Leaves my face smooth and soft. Not dry at all. I found it easier to use than more expensive sopas I've tried.

This is a New Experience for me. I have never used this type of shaving technic before. I have enjoyd it very much. I would reccomend that other men try this technic in shaving. They would find it enjoyable also. Women could also give it a try.
