I've used this product for years, however they have recently changed the stone side of the file. The first ones I had were denser, and literally lasted years. The newer ones, a couple of months, at best. They sort of "crumb" as you use them. Another issue I have with them is the glue that holds the stone on. As soon as it gets good and wet, the stone comes right off. Easily fixed though, with a glue gun.

I live in sandals so I get dry cracked heels in the summer and foot lotions just don't do the job. The key is exfoliating without hurting your feet. This file is gentle and effective. I use it in the shower with a little dab of soap. The yellow side scrubs the dry skin away and the file side buffs it to a smooth finish. Small bits of yellow will fall off over time, but it is much more gentle than a traditional pumice stone. I finally went for an entire year without having a cracked heel.

I've used these almost daily for the past 15 years and have never had any complaints!! I give them to my friends and family so they can keep their feet looking and feeling pretty, too!!

The file side probablly works fine, but I was so turned off by the side that was flaking off, I don't want to use it at all.

I've been looking for something like this foot file for a while. I've owned pumice stones in the past, but they are small and cumbersome to use in the shower. I was delighted to find one with a handle and a file (just like the salon uses!). The first time in the shower the pumice popped off the handle. It's attached with a scant bit of glue, so I think I can repair it... but that's why this product get 3 stars, instead of 5. It worked very well otherwise.
