I love this stuff. If my face is clear (no blemishes to cover, etc) this is what I wear, sometimes with just mascara and my face looks made up. This is especially great when you are going somewhere where you might sweat and you don't want your makeup ending up either on your clothes, etc. This is heavier than a lotion, but once it sets, your face is very smooth and even.

I wanted to love this, but I'm quite allergic to certain lavenders. Unfortunately, this makeup contains one of them. I won't be returning this, because I read the ingredients before I purchased it, so I knew it contained lavender, I just never imagined it would contain enough to smell so strong. This stuff is what I consider to be highly fragranced. I cannot stand fragranced products on my face to begin with, but makeup fragranced with lavender provided a makeup nightmare. My skin got red and irritated, of course, (the red nose...not so appealing), but the worst part was I was thrown into sneezing fits, and my nose began running uncontrollably...End result was Eek. It's ironic that a Philosophy makeup would cause this nastiness because I absolutely adore all their fragrances!

I read the instructions carefully and made sure I didn't use it over a moisturizer with oil in it. Actually I used it after I washed my skin with Philosophy's cleaners. It seems to be a little grainy going on (which is so odd). It does smooth out, but doesn't seem to do much to even out my skin tone. I wait at least 10 minutes before applying my mineral makeup (which I use very little of). I don't see a significant different when I use it and when I don't and I don't like the idea that I can't use my normal moisturizer when using it. I am a very fair red-head in my early 40s with the beginning of fine wrinkles around my eyes. I was hoping that I could use this and then decrease the amount of foundation (or mineral foundation) I had to use. My skin is in excellent shape and I want to show it off without using much makeup. This just didn't do the job. It seems to be no more than a primer with restricting requirements. I can easily find another primer where I can use my daily skin routine (moisturizer, etc).

I love this stuff, it goes on real nice and smooth, and my makeup goes on Great ! afterward, wears real well all day long until I wash it off at night. I'm not to crazy about the smell it has, it would be nice if they added just a light scent to it. All in all, I would recomend and reorder it again

This is great as a base before you apply make up, it holds up better. If you choose to go au natural, it gives you a mate look or oil free look. It's a little bit clumpy but it may be because I've had that tube for the longest time.

I was under the impression that this was a makeup that would have at least decent coverage since they claim it will make your skin look flawless. However, I see now that it's better suited as a primer, BEFORE your foundation. Don't purchase thinking you'll get beautiful skin from this. Probably a decent product if they described it more accurately...a primer/oil free moisturizer.

I followed the directions and used an oil-free moisturizer (hope in a jar), but even it alone highlighted my pores. I wear very little make up, so I expect what I wear to live up to it's claims -- especially Philosophy. I tried Prescriptives liquid powder over this and it caused it to streak and be uneven. I'm a Philosophy "girl" but this product was a major disappointment.

Made my pores appear larger after I applied foundation.

Can't believe some of the negative reviews on this. Perhaps they were not using an OIL FREE moisturizer or just not following the directions-- you put this on AFTER you moisturize. I don't wear make up but have noticed as I get older, there is some splotchiness and fine lines to my complexion. Tried mineral make-up and liquid foundation but I did not like the mask feel. I have been using this for the last three years and it really gives my face a polished but not overdone look. I use quarted sized dollop after my letting my moisurizer sink in.

I just started using philosophy products and I absolutely love this stuff. I have large pores and the beginnings of fine lines around my mouth and eyes. This product greatly reduces the appearance of my fine lines and wrinkles plus it really minimizes my pores. It leaves my skin texture very moisturized and even toned. It also works as a great adhesive for my foundation and is designed for sensitive acne prone skin so, it doesn't break me out or cause any kind of irritation. This stuff is wonderful. Please don't stop making it philosophy!
