theratears really help my severely dry eyes. have tried plugs which do not stay put. was using the theratears and ran out...did not make it to the store for more and REALLY noticed the difference when not taking them. do not have to use moisturizing eye drops as often with these. notice the difference, eyes more comfortable after two weeks of daily dosage. will not run out of my supply again!

Tryed TheraTears to help with chronic dry eye. Restasis was too expensive and plugs were not staying in place. Deciided to try the TheraTears. After apx 3 weeks of regular use, I think we are seeing some results of my dry eye, not being so dry and irritated. Also using Optive eye lubricant durning the day. So be between taking the TheraTears and using the OPTIVe eye drops I feel the sypmtoms of dry eye lessening. I'm going to contunue using the Thera tears a while longer and hope to have a more experienced review after using it for 6-8 weeks. I like the product so far and will continue to use it for now.

As a natural result of aging, my eyes have become dryer over the years. I eventually could not wear contact lenses in my late 40's, which is why I chose Lasik Surgery. What a godsend it was! But I still had dry eye problems and I didn't want to use prescriptions. My doctor recommended Theratears and it works beautifully. I went a few months without and could tell the difference. I'm sold, I won't ever go without again. It has additional health benefits from the Omega-3's from fish oil. I recommend eating with food to avoid fish burps, but I don't skip it if I don't have time for breakfast. It works too well to go without.

I started taking these after my laser eye surgery caused dry eye a few years ago. Several weeks later I found that my cholesterol had dropped by 40 points. I had to ease into it. My dry eye symptoms were the worst my eye doctor had seen. Nothing worked-no drops (even the prescriptions), even punctum-plugs did not give me relief. I just could not make enough tears. When I started taking it in the mornings, the daily malodorous issues were more than I could take, and I didn't get results immediately. I started taking just one at night, and after a month, was comfortable with both morning and evening doses. My eye doctor encouraged me to be patient, explaining that the body will more or less hoard these nutrients until it feels safe rationing them. As a NON-fish-eater, I'm guessing I am on the outside at about 9 months before I started to see benefits. The Omega-3 complex obviously has benefits beyond just the eyes, but I have tried several less expensive fish/flax supplements, and my benefits "dried up" within a couple of weeks each time. I don't know why, but this preparation is special. My tear production is still at low-normal levels, but at least an eyedrop now and then can get me over the hump. Hope this helps.
