I started taking these because fish is supposed to be good for memory. I don't like fish so I researched fish oil pills & discovered these were had very good reviews, both of results & ingredients. My memory, over time, noticeably improved...I had been losing track of words in conversation. Regarding the fishy burps...I don't think that's something you can avoid. They ARE fish oil pills. I don't get them frequently, maybe because I take the pills after a meal. It helps not to swallow the burp.

I tried this because of the high levels of EPA they suggest to treat depression. Unfortunately, they cause horrible "fishy burps" almost immediately after taking. I won't be finishing this bottle.

This is the best Omega product I have been able to find to treat my depression. In fact, it enabled me to reduce my antidepressant dosage. My clinical psychiatrist recommended specific mg & EPA to DHA ratio combination. This is the only product that fit those requirements. I needed to reduce an SRI that was giving me side effects of memory loss. The 2:1 ratio it has works great for my mood as well as giving me back my wonderful clarity of mind. In general, Omegas are healthy things for bodies. One doesn't need to have depression to benefit from Omega. But I believe this particular formula is excellent for depression and has profoundly increased the quality of my life.
