Calagel® Maximum Strength Anti-Itch
Relieves Itch and Pain:
Poison Oak/Ivy/Sumac
Skin Allergies
Insect Bites, Rashes
Minor Burns
Minor Skin Irritations
Sunburns and more!
Unlike pink, runny calamine lotions, CalaGel's clear, hydrocortisone-free, antihistamine gel stays where you put it. You'll get quick relief without the messy pink fluid on your skin and clothes. CalaGel dries quickly, leaving an invisible, anti-itch skin protectant shield on your tender skin.
Calagel® and Tecnu® work together - If you have been exposed to poison oak, ivy or sumac, you should thoroughly clean up with Tecnu as soon as possible after exposure to unlock and remove the poison oils that cause your rash. If the rash has appeared, use CalaGel to stop the itching, dry the oozing, reduce the swelling and help avoid possible infection.
A History of Relief - Tecnu® was developed in 1961, during the cold war years by chemical engineer, Dr. Robert Smith, as an effective waterless cleanser capable of removing radioactive dust from skin and clothing. His wife accidentally discovered that Tecnu would cleanse poison plant oils after exposure to poison oak and ivy. Tecnu has become standard-issue in first aid kits of outdoor professionals across the country. Now, you can put Tecnu to work for your family.
Tecnu® Ingredients: Deodorized Mineral Spirits, Water, Propylene Glycol, Octylphenoxy-Polyethoxyethanol, Mixed Fatty Acid Soap and Fragrance.

Comments about Oak-N-Ivy CalaGel Medicated Anti-Itch Gel, 6 fl oz:
Tecnu cleanser and CalaGel are essential duo to keep on hand (no pun intended) for poison ivy exposure/rash. Calagel difficul to find locally, so I rely on drugstore.com for easy re-supply. Also purchased large bottle of Tecnu and use to refill small bottles for hikes or day trips.

I have sensitive skin & get razor bumps from shaving my bikini line. I started using this as an after-shave & found it helped a lot...now I even use it as shaving cream & razor bumps are practically non-existent! I use it whenever i get cuts, scrapes & bug bites. It helps the healing process.

Great for poison ivy or oak!

Comments about Oak-N-Ivy CalaGel Medicated Anti-Itch Gel, 6 fl oz:
I don't usually "catch" poison oak or ivy but I do have a tendency to break out in a rash on occasions. This product works quite well for the itching. It also helps to dry up the rash. It does dry clear so there is no "tell-tell" signs that you have applied medication. I find it quite effective on any kind of itch, not just poison oak, ivy or sumac. It's a great product to keep in the medicine cabinet at all times.
Comments about Oak-N-Ivy CalaGel Medicated Anti-Itch Gel, 6 fl oz:
Calagel has been in my cabinet for years. It is clear, so you can wear it to work or school. The itching is relieved almost immediately, and for some time, then just reapply. Product does not dry out in the container, it keeps over winter for the next year. Works for poison, spider bites and even sun poison.

Comments about Oak-N-Ivy CalaGel Medicated Anti-Itch Gel, 6 fl oz:
This product is great for itching and weeping due to poison ivy or something, but for what I was using it for, it was a flop. I have eczema and some of my spots had gotten infected and itchy (from scratching.) The product DID dry up the weeping and made like a "scab" over the areas, but it did nothing for HEALING them. However, the product did do what it was supposed to do- cure the itch.

Comments about Oak-N-Ivy CalaGel Medicated Anti-Itch Gel, 6 fl oz:
My wife purchased this to help with my dry skin from diabetes. The product helped prevent me from excessive scratching, which was leading to infections on my leg before using it. I would highly recommend using CalaGel for any itch problem.
