derma e Tea Tree & E Antiseptic Creme rates 5 out of 5 stars, from 33 customer reviews.Miracle Lotion
by Carly[Verified Reviewer] in Florida on 2/28/09
Pros: Absorbs Quickly, Goes On Smoothly, Moisturizes Well, Softens Skin
Cons: Bad Smell
Describe Yourself: Budget Buyer
Best Uses: After Shower/Bath, Bedtime, Deep Moisturization, Dry/Chapped Skin, Eczema, Winter Dryness
Bottom Line: recommended
I am a week away from going on Accutane and this lotion (along with some vitamins I've been taking) has SAVED my skin.. I have been on so many different prescription meds that just irritated my skin and made my acne worse. I put this on my back the first night I got it and I woke up with about half the marks I had before. I'm not one to exaggerate. Yeah, it doesn't smell too great but it smells natural. Bubblegum flowery scents don't do anything to help your skin. It will smooth out your skin and make you glow. I'm very impressed! I love it

Pros: Absorbs Quickly, Goes On Smoothly, Long Lasting, Moisturizes Well, Softens Skin
Cons: Bad Smell
Best Uses: After Sun, Bedtime, Deep Moisturization, Dry/Chapped Skin, Eczema, Winter Dryness
Bottom Line: recommended
I use this before bed and my skin's dryness has greatly improved. It has a bad smell but it fades quickly and you get used to it. I would not stop using it just because of the scent because it works well and the tea tree oil is great.

If you have an impossible itch, this is the product you need. It does have a strong smell, but if you truly have an itch that is driving you nuts, you hardly care about a little mediciny smell, as long as the urge to scratch is GONE!!

Like another reviewer, I have sensitive, cystic-acne-prone skin. Dermatologists and aestheticians kept recommending benzoyl peroxide lotions, but no matter how small the percentage (I tried Proactiv, and I think that lotion has 1.25% BP), I would wake up the next morning with a slightly puffy, red, and ITCHY face. I also wasn't crazy about bleaching my sheets, towels, pillowcases, etc. I read somewhere that a 5% solution of Tea Tree Oil was comparable to BP, and this was the only lotion I found that had that percentage listed. Since it was pretty cheap, I decided to give it a shot. It's now been 2 - 3 weeks since I started using this, and I've only broken out ONCE (versus once a day), and that was during my, uh, "hormonal fluctuation." :-) No, the smell is not ideal - very herbal eucalyptus and quite strong at first - but within five minutes it fades to a very mild, slightly sweet herbal aroma that I actually like. If you are allergic to benzoyl peroxide, please give this a try. I will be using it forever!

by The Princess' Mom (aka The Queen)[Verified Reviewer] in Mid-Atlantic, USA on 11/10/08
Pros: Durable, Good Value, High Quality
Cons: Strong smell
Bottom Line: recommended
This stuff works great! I use it in conjunction with a 5% Peroxide wash (prescription but can occasionally find OTC) and have been break out free for months. I used to suffer from hormonial break outs, usually along my jaw line. Or all over breakout from over indulging in the chocolates! Either way, I'm not sure if the cream or the wash helps more, but I've had no blemishes in quite some time. It does stink though... the smell vanishes (no lingering smell) after a few minutes. I think it is a very small price to pay for clear skin.

This is the best lotion for dry, tired, itchy feet.I wear closed toe shoes most days and this product is great to keep the foot smellys at bay! It does have an "odd" ...aka bowling alley wax sort of odor, but the benefits of the product are well worth the trade off. Ballerina daughter loves it!

by Mrs Gill[Verified Reviewer] in Delmar, ny on 8/2/08
Pros: Goes On Smooth, Moisturizes, Nice Odor, Not Greasy, Softens
Describe Yourself: Quality Oriented
Best Uses: Daily Use, Face
Bottom Line: recommended
I have had highly sensitive acne prone skin since I was a teenager. Latley, after hitting the menopause years, my mild persistent acne ( which I have treated with proactiv for the past 11 years ) has turned to painful huge cystic acne. Even proactiv didn't help, and because my skin is so very sensitive I could only use the proactiv benzoyl peroxide treatment in small doses a few times a week. I have since been searching and searching for a natural way to cure my skin. I tried Aubrey, Juice Organics, and some home remedies. Tea Tree oil really seemed to heal my cystic bumps after they appeared, but because of my sensitivity I was not able to apply Tea Tree oil to my whole face. I saw this product and I thought I would give it a try. I get contact dermatitis a lot because of my skin sensitivites and this worked awesome on my rashes. I decided to give it a try on my sensitive, very broken out, very sore face. What a fantastic result !!! Within days my huge cystic nodules were getting smaller and hurt a lot less. I started to use the cream over my entire face every night as a night cream. I have completely stopped using any benzoyl peroxide and I can happily say after using a half of a jar ( about a month or so ) I am completely cystic acne free. I still have a few small little acne bumps, but not the painful horrible ones. I am rid of all black heads as well. In addition to this cream, I have also started to cleanse my skin with Grapefruit Seed Extract at night before applying the Derma cream. I am purchasing several other of the derma e products today. My husband has been sold on this as well for his insect bites. Thanks for such a wonderful product !!!!

Pros: Goes On Smooth, Moisturizes, Nice Odor, Not Greasy, Softens
Describe Yourself: Quality Oriented
Best Uses: Arms, Daily Use, Face
Bottom Line: recommended
Derma E is wonderful. I use it on my face and arms and elbows after I've showered and before bedtime. It is a great moisturizer and my skin feels soft and protected with it. With all the pollution in our environment, I think it's wise to use this because it has natural oils and anti- septic properties that guard skin. Its fragrance is a little medicinal, but that's okay. It reminds me that it's different and all natural and is not like greasy and artificial, like moisturizers I've used in the past.
