I am a 49 year old woman living in New England. I have winter dry skin, a touch of rosacia on my chin and my cheeks flash every once and a while (grr). I have been using Olay's Regenerist serum for years and there is nothing better (every so often I try new products and always come back to this). I normally order the fragranced version as the fragrance is very mild but this one was for my brother who doesn't like any fragrance. It's amazing!!! It evens out skin tone, reduces fine lines, hydrates and protects skin. I don't leave home without it. I use it in the AM under my SPF15 in winter and SPF30 in summer and SPF50 or above when sitting out in sun. My face does not burn, ever. Friends and relatives are constantly asking me what I am doing/using because my skin looks so great. Beauty counter folks always tell me that I have GREAT skin. This is the constant and I am never without it. The Olay Regenerist eye cream is superb also. I use both only in the AM under moisturizing sunscreen. Try it, you'll love it, but give it more than a week to notice a difference, and belive me, you will!

Sorry for the long post here, but this is something I WISH I would have taken heed on from some of the other posters. If you have sensitive, oily, combo, or skin that needs extra exfoliation...listen up! :) I have a love/hate relationship with this product and I wish I was like all the others that gave this 5 stars. Coming up close on my 30s I have become somewhat of a product junkie...always wanting to try the next best thing. I've had relative success with products in the past...it has a great feel, my skin looked good, nothing overly dramatic but was nice and was happy until IT happened.

In all fairness, I was using the olay definity tinted moisturizer, I use the mircoderm kit once a month or so, and was using the Total Effects as my moisturizer when not using the definity. So, it could be in conjunction with any of these products...although after my recent discovery I'm chalking it up to it being at least a big part because of this product.

I started out with what I thought was a teenie tiny whitehead pimple on my nose. It was gradually growing ever so slllllightly and I thought it was coming to the surface. Once I started using this product the size seemed to rapidly grow as if it's surfacing. My skin can be oily in the tzone and I've been told I need to really exfoliate (which I do, but don't overdo). Now, I have this milky skin colored what looks like I'm walking around with a whitehead of decent proportions on my nose. But what really made me link it to this is I did have those very mute rougher areas under my eyes...nothing crazy but wasn't smooth skin...where I had put this in proximity to my eye area, I quickly saw the little dot and low and behold it has quickly grown in size and come to the surface. This would be great if it was a whitehead and it was clearing acne, but it's not and now I look like I have a whitehead centimeters from my tear duct. I've found out they are called Milia and are kerotin filled impurities that form cysts like a seed that cannot get purged by the skin. can be genetic or caused by oil-filled or heavy products..which this one has alot of silicone in it. Regardless, only derms can get rid of this (unless you want to chance scarring up your face)and is not guaranteed that it won't just keep coming back. So I can say, it does regenerate the skin much quicker than without, but I can also say that if you start seeing these pop up or are prone to getting them...I wouldn't suggest using it. I'm heading to the derm to have it extracted. Really sad about this as I love Olay products!!

I used this product for years (10). Early 2015 I started having a lot of skin irritation. I was also using a toner, AHA, BHA, and retinol. Started dropping the other products from use since they are all known irritants. Kept using the serum. Dryness, red areas, welts, and extreme itchiness continued.

Dropped everything and started using a topical OTC cortizone to alleviate itching in early July 2015. Eventually went to my doctor, who gave me an oral steroid. The doctor said after everything calmed down, I could restart 1 product at a time, every 2 weeks, and stop that product if there were side effects.

Started again early November 2015, using the serum only since it was a non-irritating product. Immediately had the same issues with redness, dryness, and swelling. Figured my skin was completely too sensitive and couldn't use anything- stopped completely.

Early March 2016, I thought I would try again. This time, I started with the toner. No problems. Added AHA in the morning and BHA at night. No problems. Then started the retinol this week. No problems.

It appears the only product damaging my skin was the serum, which is supposed to be the mildest of all. I called Olay and spoke with a consultant about the issues. They changed the formulation about a year before the issue started. I had product and may have gotten some older product before the new was released. The additional reason I know it was the serum is that it was the only product I also used it on my eyelids. Before I spread it on any other part of my face or neck. They skin on my eyelids was red and peeling, during both the initial issues and when I tried to restart.

If you use this and are having irritiation, this may very well be the problem.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Have been using Olay Regenerist for about 4 years. I notice a marked improvement in the skin below my eyes - it is tighter, smoother, less wrinkly, more moist & has less darkness. Smoothed over the under-eye area after showering & before putting on my moisturizer, it makes my skin feel & look great. We all get old, & the sun & eating sugar & stress all help wreck your skin, especially sensitive areas like under the eyes. Regenerist helps mitigate these bad effects.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I use this once a day under my makeup and like the way it feels. I have dry skin but it's not greasy or oily so should work on all skin types. I can't say it makes me look any younger though!!

I quit smoking in 2003. There were many lines and wrinkles around my eyes and mouth. After about 6 months of using Oil of Olay Regenerist products (and drinking more water)daily, all the lines and wrinkles on my face were GONE. The best part is that people guess my age to be in my mid-forties. I am 59. I've seen MANY jaws drop, in shock, when I tell people my real age.
People have asked me if I have ever used Botox or any other procedures on my face, and I have not. It just doesn't get any better than this!

This is a product I use after cleansing - before putting on any make up. It is not only a moisturizer it seems to put a silky covering (not sure if that is a good phrase to use..) it prepares your face to receive your make up and what little make up I do use, goes on like over glass. It is part of my every day routine.
