I began taking these on the advice of my nutritionist. In addition to a few other dietary modifications, I have definitely noticed a difference in my resistance to infection (a paper cut for me would become infected). I am just starting on my second box of BioBeads and I can't tell you how grateful I am that I found them. I have suffered for years with what I believe to be systemic candida infection and have tried both liquid and chewable acidophilus to no avail. This one works!
