This appealing, fresh scent hovers between ivory-soap-and-water and suntan lotion, passing from one to the other based upon your daily chemistry. Philosophy also packages this scent as part of a trio (with the other two grace scents) in a non-alcoholic, water-based version. Somehow the scent is purer, more enjoyable, and very slightly less fugitive in that formulation. The alcohol formulation, which this is, is not quite as lovely to me, and sometimes seems to trail a faint whiff of cat litter (which quickly fades, thankfully). Both versions, however, are disappointingly short-lived on the body, albeit oddly longer-lasting on clothing. Disappears into the atmosphere almost instantaneously, which is a pity, as it's really quite nice. I view this as a grooming additive, which increases the overall sense of being very clean, rather than a perfume per se. I prefer other perfumes for scent - but like this to enhance my sense of underlying cleanliness.

I am a huge philosophy user, however, pure grace to me smells like A&D Ointment - in other words, like diaper cream. It has a medicine type smell. I would recommend amazing grace instead. I've been using amazing grace for 5 years, and LOVE IT.

VERY DISAPPOINTING. If you want to smell like licorice, this is your scent. The only scented philosophy product I have enjoyed thoroughly so far is amazing grace body lotion.

This fragrance is just what philosophy says it is...clean, fresh, even addictive! I work in a hospital and I like the scent because it isn't overdone. In fact, it's just a good everyday fragrance. I have no desire to try anything but philosophy scents! Love it.

Yuck! Too sharp and soapy. This might make a good air freshener for really foul smells, but I can't imagine anyone wanting to smell like this. Absolutely not sexy or feminine, and too, too strong.

For women (or their men) who don't like heady, sultry fragrances- this is "essence of California," in my estimation. It makes you smell like the beach! Only the beach right after you've showered and put on suntan lotion, not after you've sat and baked for 4 hours with your girlfriends!

Pure grace is just what the name implies. It is not overly floral or "soapy," as other reviewers would have you think. I find it to be absolutely light and clean, and longwearing. People at work will ask you why you smell so good and fresh! Compared to some other "clean" fragrances that retail for a much higher price, pure grace is not only a wiser buy, it's also the better fragrance.

100% smells like detergent. Nothing sexy about it.

I use all 3 grace spray colognes. They are just great. I like the pure grace the most. No one ever asked me what I was wearing; they just said "you smell so good" It smells clean, simple and thats all I need.

This is my new favorite! Most perfumes make me sneeze within minutes of applying, but not pure grace. I wish it were sold by the gallon. I want my whole house to smell like this!
