The scent is divine. I am sensitive to smells of all kinds, so I mix it with an unscented lotion to tone it down and it is perfect. I keep it at my desk at work and every time I put it on someone makes a comments about the nice scent.

I really love this lotion. I have chemical sensitivity and can't wear just anything; I either get a "reaction" or my skin breaks out, or both. This lotion agrees with my senses and my skin, and even better, my husband likes the smell.

I really love this lotion, however I couldn't give it 5 stars because I do mix it with another lotion. This lessens the smell which a lot of people seem to find offensive. Also, I've never found one lotion that works like I want it to. So this + Alba Cocoa Butter Lotion= the PERFECT hand lotion that makes my brutally abused hands (gardening, dishes, scrubbing floors, dog washing, etc) soft and younger-looking.

This moisturizer left white flakes on my skin the next day. I don't know whether this means it didn't soak in or what, but it looked awful. This also has a very peculiar odor to it, not unpleasant, but unusual. Not perfumey at all. More like lemongrass.

I found this lotion to actually be too thick. I like thick creamy lotions, but this one left a layer of thick white cream all over me because it didn't absorb into my skin. Now I keep it on my nightstand and rub it on my feet before I go to bed since I can't use it as an "all over" body lotion. It works perfectly well for that. Also, I'm not crazy about the strong scent. Maybe it's the lemon balm? You'll either love it or you'll hate it. My husband can't wait for the lotion to be gone because he is revolted by the smell...not working in my favor being that I apply it to my feet every night after climbing into bed! I am determined to use the last of it. Try the St. Ives Minerals body lotion... It has an awesome light scent, it is thick and creamy (not at all greasy) and it absorbs well. Plus, the price is much more attractive! drugstore.com is not carrying it yet because it is new, but I'm sure they will be soon.

This does what a moisturizer is supposed to do: moisturize. I live in a high and dry climate, and I need serious moisture during the winter. This softens my skin and absorbs quickly, so there's no greasiness. If you buy your daily lotion for the scent, this may or may not be a problem. Yes, it's very sweet and reminds me of fruit loops, but my boyfriend actually loves it. I don't buy my daily lotion for the scent, so I could care less; plus, the scent doesn't last that long anyway.

Referring to the scent, I think it smells like orange, ginger and lavender. I like the scent because it is used by my whole household and the men don't want to go around smelling like flowers, and they like it. Like another reviewer said, if you don't like the smell, it won't be around for long, it is a blend of essential oils, not some chemical, artificial, added fragrance. Bear in mind this is one of the KMF "obsessively organic" line, so it is one of their most natural (99.9%)! The lotion itself works very well here in NY, and we also took it on vacation, where the weather was hot and humid, yet we were in and out of chlorine and salt water. This lotion was perfect, because it didn't feel heavy on our skin in the climate, but moisturized our stressed out skin perfectly. I think it it because it absorbs well, and/or dries quickly on the skin. I highly recommend it.

Note the two first ingredients: juniper and lemon balm, which explain the "herbal" scent others have mentioned. This has a lemony, juniper scent to it, which is pleasant. Has a nice consistency, and works well.

One of the best moisturizers that I have ever used. My skin is prefectly smooth all day long!
