These always arrive fresh and soft and I like the dynamite 'barrel' shape which makes 'em easier to pop in my mouth. Although they are a bit pricey, they are worth it. And they are fat-free so that's a big plus! I'm going to try the raspberry next. It was too strong, too chewy, and almost alcoholic in flavor. I'm glad that this box wasn't very expensive, because I had to throw it out. Awful. This was something that this company made up to sell to people like me who love licorice, a one time buy. The taste was 'rubbery bland' and it left a bad aftertaste in your mouth. Comments about Panda Chews, Original, 7 oz: I LOVE licorice. This is the most healthy licorice I've found. I have ordered it a number of times. The problem is that it is addictive. I know if I buy a box, I'm going to eat that entire box throughout one day. I always portion out a few and put the box away for the next day. But it NEVER works. When I'm watching my weight (haha! Aren't we always?), I won't order this cause it will definitely be gone. If I have a definite licorice craving, I figure this is the "healthiest" licorice I've found on the market so I order 1 box. If you're a licorice lover and you eat licorice, try this one. But plan on eating the whole thing. Great tasting AND all natural: no artificial colors, no artificial flavors, and no preservatives. Now, thanks to drugstore.com., my favorite licorice is right at my finger-tips. They were all gone in 8 days - and that's because I used restraint and didn't open an additional box each day. If you or loved ones love sweets and licorice, this licorice is the best Licorice is also known for healing properties - though - not sure if licorice extract works the same as licorice root.
