Yuck, this has to be one of the worst things I've ever tasted. I like black licorice jelly beans, so I thought I'd try this, especially because licorice is good for your stomach lining. After one bite, I had to spit this out. It was too strong, too chewy, and almost alcoholic in flavor. I'm glad that this box wasn't very expensive, because I had to throw it out. Awful.

Too much molasses

I thought for sure that my husband would love these. He likes anything black licorice, after all. Sadly, he did not. He said that there was way too much of a molasses flavor and not enough licorice for his tastes. Ah, well. He does love The Mint's licorice mint's, though.

Licorice feeds the adrenal glands, so occasionally I crave licorice. NO WONDER! I just read this about the adrenals. Mine are low. Anyway, I am totally spoiled by this licorice. It is SOOOOO yummy and REAL. Nothing like the commercial brands that use fake flavoring. If you like licorice at all...ya gotts try this. I treat myself to a box every few months.......... it is a five star TREAT!

This is so soft and grainy. It tastes bitter. It reminds me of that nasty Aussie licoirice. I threw it in the trash! The best black licorice is found at [@]It is called Zots by Phyto
