Pros: Soft
Cons: Leak, Poor Fit, Uncomfortable
Describe Yourself: First Time Parent
Best Uses: Infants
Bottom Line: not recommended
Used SG Diapers on our daughter from day one until this week - she is 23 mos. SG has made big changes to the Stage 4 diapers that have ruined them and made them unusable for our daughter. Due to the "improvements," the diapers now leak during day and night - night very badly, the sticky tabs are way too sticky and prevent you from readjusting them, and lastly, the diapers now bunch greatly in crotch and are very uncomfortable for our daughter. I was always willing to pay premium prices for these diapers but we absolutely cannot use them anymore, and the company does not seem to care one bit. [...] Anyway, we are now looking for other natural, environmentally better diapers - these are now horrible and a big uncomfortable mess. Very disappointing.

I have been very pleased with the Seventh Generation Diapers. I wanted to use a diaper that was better for the environment then the average diaper. They may not be as soft, but my daughter doesn't seem to notice. We've had very few leaks, and they seem to do the job nicely.

I used this product for my oldest daughter who is almost 6 years old now and I was so happy with the diapers. At that time the diapers were made in Germany. Now, I have a child who is 1 year old and I am very disappointed. I had many cases when the diaper broke and the jell was all over her legs, the diaper does not hold much and I learned that the color they use on making them is fake, colored diaper to make it look like natural. Now I use the Nature Care, they seem to be better for us who are concern for the environmental and what we put in our children.

Being in an area that needs to conserve water, this was the best choice for us over cloth diapers. And they don't have chemicals like regular disposables. I am not sure if it is all due to the diapers, but our 7 month old has never had diaper rash.

by Puffin Mom[Verified Buyer] in Milwaukee, WI on 5/13/09
Pros: Cute brown color, Highly Absorbent, Truly fragrance-free
Describe Yourself: First Time Parent
Best Uses: 6-month old boy
Bottom Line: recommended
my son was having some rash problems when he started solid food and formula. He had been using regular disposables which have chlorine, perfume and other chemicals. As soon as we switched him to the Seventh Gen. diapers there was an improvement. Now when he is introduced to a new food and begins to show a rash, it is much more manageable and the rash can be stopped. Surprisingly, these diapers are very absorbent, even more so than the popular brand we used to use. We also switched to the Seventh Gen wipes, fragrance-free and only a few ingredients, so his skin can tolerate more wiping than with previous scented wipes. I wish I had tried these diapers from the beginning! They are expensive, but worth it for the comfort of the child, I think.
