Good product

Bottom Line: recommended

No complaints. It could be larger and get a little hotter. The old fashioned pads from years ago got hotter, but were therefore dangerous for disabled or elderly that might fall asleep with them on. This has auto shut off which is ok, just not ideal if you enjoy constant heat and then realize it has shut off and you have to start over. But, it does heat up fast.

I bought this heating pad for my mother who uses it everyday and really likes the size and area coverage.. She likes that this unit has an auto shut off which gives her a feeling of safety. Great even heat and very comfortable.

If they consider this King Size, I'd sure hate to see their "Regular Size." This is NOT King size. I had a heating pad that was king size and it was about 6" longer than this one. This is just a regular size heating pad.

fast heat upstays on no cut off in an hr. multi heat choices.and you do feel difference.i love it! you will too.only thing it doesn't have is a cover .wish sunbeam did add that. other then that it's GREAT![...] .this is a great site!

I don't always make time to write reviews, but I depend pretty heavily on the reviews of other Drugstore.com shoppers. In the case of this Heating Pad, I simply HAD to weigh in = ) I've had problems in the past with Sunbeam Heating Pads; when they went "digital", it seemed like every pad I purchased either shorted out IMMEDIATELY, or simply didn't work. My Husband purchased several versions made by others. They were OK, but not as consistent or comfortable as my previous Sunbeams... Due to severe Fibromyalgia, I use a Heating Pad every day. It was with great trepidation that I purchased this Heating Pad. (A BIG Thank You to "Grandma Gina" for her review!) I am SO glad I did! It is FANTASTIC! It heats up quickly, stays consistently and evenly heated and is VERY comfortable! The 4 heat settings are great; there is actually a DISCERNABLE difference between them! The fact that that the pad gives you TWO hours before it shuts itself off is wonderful! All my others drive me crazy with their hour shut-off and slow heat-up! The ONLY disappointing thing about this Heating Pad is it's SIZE; it hardly qualifies as a 'King Size" pad! It's about the size of a large box of cereal! I wish Sunbeam would actually make a true King Size version (about 28"L x 14"W) - I'd buy it in a NY Minute!

This Pad is nice large and flexible, soft and not pokey like some can be on the edges. I have had a couple but each time they broke apart where the cord connects to the control unit. I used them for several months before this happened, but after the second one broke and caused a flame that burned my finger. this pad may cause a fire if you leave it pluggged in. the company put the blame on me and would not give me a new one since I could not find my reciept. Does it matter where I buy it? They all come from the same company. They were rude about me being burned, I dont think I will use them again.

LOVE THE SIZE AND CONTROLLER, BUT HAVE HAD TO REPLACE TWO DUE TO WEAK CONECTION OF CORD TO BOTH SIDES OF THE CONTROL UNIT. THE WIRES BREAK AND THEN SHORT OUT WITH SPARKS. COMPANY BLAIMES USER FOR HOW THE PAD IS USED RATHER THEN RE-ENGINEER THE CONNECTION. I PLAN NOW TO REINFORCE THE CORDS WITH ELECTRICAL TAPE COVERED BY DUCT TAPE. WE USE 2 ALMOST DAILY. I RECOMMEND -- WITH CAUTION!

This heating pad is complete high quality and no less. It is just the right size to wrap your lower or upper back, does not crinkle up like a wet paper towel as most heating pads do these days. I had purchased a new heating pad and the electrical control pad was defective, but Drugstore.com sent another one out to me FAST!!! I love this store. I received this heating pad on April 23. I used it the same night, and the pad would not heat up adequately. The next night, it finally heated up. The problem arose when I restarted the pad after it automatically shut down. The cord connecting the pad to the power became unbelievably hot, and I heard a pop, followed by a small fire a few moments later. Fortunately, I was able to extinguish the small blaze and unplug the pad before anything was seriously damaged, only a minor char mark on my blanket. 2 days, and it almost burned my room down!! Be very careful when you use this product, or you might not be as lucky as I was...

For Dry Heat: Securely connect the heating pad to the cord. Plug into a 110-volt outlet and set control to desired heat setting.
For Moist Heat: Securely connect the heating pad to the cord. Spray the entire pad with water. Plug into 1 110-volt outlet and set control to desired heat setting.

Washing Instructions: Unplug the cord from the electrical outlet. Disconnect the pad from the power cord by grasping the control connector and pulling directly away from the pad. Machine wash pad in warm water on gentle cycle; tumble dry on medium heat. Do not plug the pad in until it is completely dry. For detailed instructions, see manual inside.
