Did nasty things to my colored, wavy hair. Almost seemed like it was coating the hair shafts in plastic. My hair was stiff and unmanageable. This could have been an interaction with my brand of color (L'Oreal Natural Match), but it made this product unusable. Also note that the container says this product "does not deposit color," so if you're looking for something to tone down the greys, this is not the stuff.

This is the first shampoo that I've found since moving to Wisconsin that actually helps with the dry and brittle conditions of my hair (without a conditioner) during the winter. It's even better during the summer. Even with the slow greying that my hair is doing, it still keeps my hair looking heathy.

When my dark blonde hair was highlighted, I used the Freida Shampoo for Platinum Highlights. Now, going back to my original coloring, I'm using the Brunette Shampoo. Both shampoos did their jobs wonderfully and to top it off, I don't need to use a conditioner afterwards to help with the tangles(my hair tangles easily). Any shampoo that adds shine to my hair and makes comb-outs a snap works for me!

This is a pretty good shampoo - its not as moisturizing as I would like it to be, but thats probably because I have very damaged hair. The scent is amazing! It actually does seem to enhance my color! It's definitely much better than Pantene Pro-v's Brunette Expressions line. I want to try the Brilliant Brunette Lustrous Touch shampoo and conditioner next - I will always use John Frieda!

I love this shampoo - I do not dye or perm my hair - this product leaves my hair clean, shiny and managable. My scalp tends to flake in the winter but not since using this product. Before I found this I was purchasing moisturizing shampoo from a salon, which I felt wasn't as good and cost a lot more.

This is a really good shampoo as shampoos go. Lathers nicely, smells great, leaves the hair soft and moisturized, probably not as stripping of color as other shampoos.

This shampoo smells nice and it did enhance the color of my hair. However, after 2 weeks I had to throw it out because it dried my hair out like no shampoo had ever done before. Twelve weeks later I am still doing extensive conditioning treatments to combat the damage this shampoo did.

A few months ago, I made the mistake of letting the salon put some highlights into my hair. Instead of getting the promised slightly lighter and redder highlights, I got platinum blonde (with a GREENISH tinge) stripes. I've always had compliments on my hair, but this was a disaster. The stripes need to be dyed regularly in order to cover them up and this frequent chemical treatment has made my hair downright crunchy! These John Frieda products are great! I am so impressed with them - I can't understand the complaints I've read over the last few months about these products because my experiences have been quite different. The smell is great and they leave my hair soft and shiny -- I've started getting compliments on my hair again! I recommend these products - I have to pay more to get them shipped overseas (I work for the government in Germany) but they're worth it!
