I've used this soap for years and have tried more expensive cleansing bars, but Neutrogena is still my favorite!

when I first got this, I really wanted to like it & I did. it seemed to work okay when I washed my face with it, except that I used a little too much & it made my whole face feel very tight. that, and the fact that the smell was disgusting! it made me wanna puke. if I ever do purchase this product again, I'm definitely getting the non-scented one

I used this twice and the next day realized my skin was on fire because of it. It felt almost like a chemical burn, but I know this is gentle stuff. I would not recommend it if you have extremely sensitive skin. It scared me at first then my face started calming down after a day.

This is great soap for clearing up your back and keeping it clear.

I've used both the liquid soap and this bar soap. I think the bar soap produces a much better lather.

I have combo skin (oily and dry), and it seems to work well for both (perfect balance). It leaves my skin feeling so soft that sometimes, I think it didn't work (like I still have foundation left on my skin), but I'll use toner to check, and nope it's clean.

I hardly ever complain about Neutrogena products- I use their sunscreen during the summer and their moisturizer year-round. Lately my skin has been acting up, so I decided to try the facial bar soap ( I use the fragrance free version) on recommendation from a friend. I am really impressed by how much it has improved the texture and condition of my skin. There are no harsh ingredients (at least not in the fragrance free bar), so it does not dry out or irritate my skin. A little bit produces just enough lather to thoroughly clean my skin. It does not strip my face of essential moisture or add any residue...it simply rinses clean and leaves my skin feeling healthy and soft. It is a very basic cleanser--- and basic is just what most of us need to have healthy skin. Like others have mentioned, the only downside is that the bar doesn't last too long, but for the price it hardly matters. I will not go back to using harsh, ineffective facial products that do more harm than good. This is dermatologist recommended for a reason.

I used this product on a recommendation from a magazine. I thought it dried my skin out too much.

Budget-Brand buyer. Will not pay high prices for Neutrogena.
