I have natural African American hair that is healthy but extremely dry. This product is like a holy grail for those with super dry tresses. A little goes a long way. I used it without heat and got fantastic results: soft, moisturized hair with lots of sheen. This balm may be too heavy for those with fine to medium hair; whether straight or curly; however, if you have dense, thick dry hair, I think this balm would work out perfectly!!

I have alot of fine curly hair that had been fried by a colorist that didn't know what they were doing. This product is awesome! If you have fine hair- you cant use it on your root area- but for ends and length- it is amazing. I leave it on while I shave (5 minutes or so) and there is a noticeable difference in my hair's texture. I will use this product forever (or as long as they make it).

I'm VERY picky about haircare. I have tried almost every brand out there and now swear by natural products (I find aveda's brilliant line the best) HOWEVER, this is the most effective conditioner I have ever used. It isn't natural- but that aside- It is an amazing product. I have fine hair and this doesn't weigh it down, but moisturizes so well and leaves my hair so silky, that I make an exception for this product. After swimming all summer, my stylist said my hair felt so soft and looked so healthy she couldn't believe it. I could care less about the rest of this line, but I can't say enough about this conditioner and always have it on hand.
