I used an over the counter hair straightener instead of having it professionally done. My already thick hair became three times as thick and dry. I could not get a comb/pick through my hair, as it was so course it was just all knotted up. I bought this product as it seemed the most likely product to help my hair and it did. My hair went from being a big-knotted pouf to being silky, shiny and healthy again. I put it on my hair and left it on for quite a while before washing it out. I made the mistake of trying to highlight my hair on my own, and it turned out looking like I had leopard spots on my hair. I ran out and bought a dye stripper, which I used the same day as I put the highlights in. The next morning I woke up and my hair had turned a yellow, Barbie inspired blonde. It was awful so I re-dyed my hair. That's three colorings in two days. My hair felt like straw. I used this product every day for a week, and my hair was restored to its natural luster. Its fabulous.
