The product works fine, but the light fresh scent? It's only a light fresh scent if you find wet wool a light fresh scent. I've switched to another self-tanner.

So, I was out all day and didn't put any sunscreen on, and I got BURNed BAD! So I got really desperate for something that could "blend" everything together, especially since I had been wearing a short sleeve shirt, YUK! So as soon as I realized that I was so badly screwed, I went to get something to make the mess look less disgusting. I decided on this product versus others because I'm very economical so this gave me more for my money, but then I was also worried that it was priced the same because it wouldn't work. So I went home and prepared myself, and when I woke up, I was STUNNED to see how good it looked! I only applied to the arms and shoulders, just to test it out. Then right before I left I put some more on. Everyone kept telling me how tan I was (and how burned from a few days back). I just applied it to almost everywhere, so I hope it'll look as good as it did on my arms. 2 complaints - it's hard to see on my skin cause it's off-white, and I don't like the smell ;)

I feel kind of iffy about this product. I haven't had much of a problem with streaking except around the ankles and stuff, which I blame on my application technique. However, the color isn't quite right. It's not orange, but it might not be right for someone with pink undertones. I'm very fair and pink, and my whitest areas are left looking kind of olive, and don't really match the undertone of the rest of my skin. If you had olive/yellow undertones I wouldn't imagine this would be a problem. It also takes much longer to dry than it states, even standing in front of a fan, and if you sit down or let parts of your skin touch each other (even after ten minutes) the color becomes uneven. Still, I like the gradual part of it, because if you miss a spot you can fix it before it gets very obvious.

Watch out- this product is WAY too dark for fair skinned people, even after just one application. I am very fair - white skin and freckles. After reading the package, I thought it would take several applications to "build" up some color. After the FIRST application on my legs, I woke up to a shock. Dark orangy-brown streaks all over my feet/ankles!!

I have been using this product off and on for over 6 months now and I really like it. I am now using it once or twice a week just to maintain a nice light tan on my legs. I am light/medium completed and find that the amount used along with frequency of use will vary the results. What I like about this product is that it has gotten me out of the tanning beds and I am sure my skin is thankful for that. I use the product after exfoliating and find the scent and consistency nice.

This sunless tanner is great! I am a red head, light skinned 15 year old boy and I'm made fun of for not having a tan so I tried this 3 nights ago. After 4 applications (just on my upper arm to see color), the color is realistic - but 4 applications is getting too dark and orange for me. Be careful!!! Easy to streak and cause orange spots.

The tan you get from this product is not orange. It is actually realistic. However, it is difficult to avoid darker or missed spots because the lotion is not tinted. The scent is horrible, but it's worth the trouble for somebody like me that can't get a tan naturally.

First off, let me say that I am NOT handy with self-tanners, particularly of the un-tinted variety, so maybe it was just me messing this up. However, I applied it one day and waited the 2-4 hours for the color to develop and not much had happened, so I thought, "Good, just a hint of color to warm up my skin and not actually darken it." But the next morning I woke up with dark streaks all over my legs, particularly near my feet and ankles and I'd barely even applied any there. If you have better luck than I do with self-tanners, give this a try. I could tell that if I'd gotten the application right it would have looked really good. I just wish it came tinted.

The lotion builds a nice looking tan very gradually while moisturizing the skin. I am fair skinned and found I had to apply the lotion several days in a row to blend away my 'farmer tan'. This gradual tinting was perfect if you worry about applying too much and over doing it, or blending in an existing tan line. The tone was never orangey and matched the tanned skin area well. As with any other self-tanner, there is slight streaking if applied improperly, but the tone is slight enough that is not obvious. The light scent is a bit annoying, but fades quickly. The lotion is not sticky or greasy after drying in 2-3 minutes.
