As soon as you use this face wash, you can feel it strip the oil off. The 'clean oil free' feeling is great. I also use the lotion that helps to reduce shine, which makes a great combo.

I use this face wash every morning and night, and it does it's job. After a few hours though, my face becomes oily again. It's basically just a good, regular face cleaner.

I am a girl and i use this because it was my last resort in finding an oil controlling face wash. Let me tell you this is so amazing i just can't believe i never thought of using it before. i have spent alot of money buying brand name face washes and none controlled oil the way this does! I find the smell very clean, not too strong and i certainly dont walk around all day smelling like a man so i think this face wash is suitable for any gender and any age. Try it for yourself, it's only a few dollars you won't break the bank just trying it out. I also use the matching oil control lotion which is equally great at oil control.

This stuff is amazing!!! I can't find it anywhere on the West Coast... B.S. I know. Thankfully drugstore.com rocks:[...] One in the gym-bag, and one in the shower at all times. This stuff is amazing for people with oily skin. I'm pretty active and often work up a sweat: this facewash is way more gentle than those abrasive face-scrubs, and it keeps me feeling clean for hours. No more Clearasil pads or any of that stuff for me.

I've tried this product for a few weeks now and I'm not a big fan. I don't really notice the scent/odor of the product that other reviewers have mentioned, but it definitely does not seem to work (for me, at least) in controlling oil. If anything, it seems to make my face oilier over the course of the day. Also, I don't really like the fact that it doesn't lather well. I realize that some products may not need to lather well to work well, but this doesn't do either. It may work for some guys out there, but I'm not one of them.

I've used this product for about 3 years now and I will continue to use it as long as it is available. I use this product primarily after I am done shaving in the morning. I like the way it controls my oily skin and especially the way it makes my skin appear smoother, healthier and shiny after its use. I do like the (masculine/business) fragrance it leaves very much and dont find it overpowering at all. To use it, I simply wet my face and forehead, put a little more than a quarter size dab in the palm of my hand, and then rub them together to get it to lather some, and wash my face and forehead rinse and dry with a towel.

I decided to give this a try after using Avon's "porefection" cleanser for years which I love but just wanted to see if there was a cheaper and easier to find alternative. I was pleased with the oil stripping action but the smell is way too strong--it's like washing your face with aftershave and is not a good smell for first thing in the morning. It does not rinse well and leaves your face with the strong smell so everytime I touch my face it brings it out again and kind of turns my stomach. If this came in unscented it would be great for the price.

I am 28, and have had acne since I was a teen - the "nodule" type that just kind of forms a small lump under the skin and then turns red and unsightly. This is the first thing I've tried that made any difference in preventing those. It's not a magic bullet - I still need to use benzoyl peroxide - but the first step in any regimen is to clean your face and clear away dead skin, and this does a very good job. Use in conjunction with the Nivea face scrub, as per the directions.
