This stuff is great! I had some really big, painful bumps that I could not stop picking at. I was only making them worse, and I was desperate for something to dry them up. At the time, I was using a totally ineffective spot treatment. After reading the reviews of this product, I picked up a bottle at the drugstore and applied before bed. The blemishes were practically gone by morning. It has also helped clear up some smaller bumps. The smell is about what you'd expect from a product containing sulfur, but it fades after the lotion has dried.

This product works GREAT as a spot treatment before bed. The first time I acquired a bottle of the drying lotion, I dabbed a blob onto an emerging cystic zit and it was completely GONE the next morning. Not all of my zits 'disappeared' with this product, but it still worked very well. The only gripes I have about this product are: 1. The Smell - But lets be honest; ALL acne treatments that contain sulfur do stink a little. 2. The Flaking Factor - This has flaked off into my eyes at night so many times, and boy does it sting. 3. The Packaging - I would feel totally embarrassed to purchase this at a drugstore in real life just because the box is so embarrassing. Thank goodness for drugstore.com. This product is also a bit cheaper than similar products available, but works just as well. I don't recommend using it every night, just when you feel a large painful zit coming on.

This product *worked* pretty well. My blemishes are smaller and not quite as red. I do have some problems with this product though. The smell was absolutely disgusting, and I almost decided not to put it on my face because of that. Then, I let the product dry on my face for about 90 minutes before going to bed - and it *still* rubbed off on my pillow! So if you happen to use this product and don't happen to have calamine colored pillowcases, they'll get pink stuff all over them. But the product does work, just be careful about using it.

This product is pricey, but it works. I prefer it to the Neutrogena 2.5 benzoyl peroxide I was using. This product uses salicylic acid instead, plus some other drying ingredients. It goes to work right away to dry up acne pimples and reduce swelling, pain, and redness. Use sparingly as spot treatment.

I really like this lotion, it's a more economical version of the Mario Badescu version-- I can't tell any difference between them. Positives: works to dry out larger, reddened blemishes; works pretty quickly; don't have to spread it all over the face-- just where you need it. Drawbacks: it shows up pink on the face, so it can't be used when going out in public; the sulfur bothers my eyes when I leave it on while sleeping, so I can't wear it at night; dries out so well that, if you blob it on too much and it covers nearby skin that is not blemished, it can dry it out pretty badly, so you have to make sure you keep it on the zit. But overall, the benefits outweigh the drawbacks of this product, and I continue to use it regularly. Just make sure you get to know how it works best for your skin.

This is an excellent product. There is an exact replica of this product from a famous European mail order company at 2 x the price. This product has incredible drying power. You wouldn't want anyone to see you with it on, but if you can use it at night, or when no one else is around, it works. You can actually avoid a breakout if you use if for a few days. My teenage daughter also likes it for an occasional breakout.

Love this product! I've tried a lot of different products, but this is the one thing that gives me visible results overnight. It kind of smells funny but it is well worth it. The redness is visibly reduced in one night, and blemishes disappear completely within two to three days. I also love the psychological effect of not seeing the blemishes for a while.

Picked this up at my local store the day before I was headed to Florida. Armed with only this product to battle against a disgusting case of backne (I've been battling it since puberty) with the promise of swimming and sun in my near future, I entered the bathroom and emerged a pink-polka-dotted gal (this stuff looks and smells like Caladryl once applied). I went to sleep and woke up, and there is almost no sign of my nasty breakout. This product is great. Try it on your pimple and it starts to work immediately. I used to have very painful pimples. When I use this product, the irritation and redness calms down, the pain disappears, and the pimple heals within a couple of days.
