I have only been using this for three days, yet even after the first day, I could tell there was an improvement. I have always wanted to try ProActiv, and I went for the cheaper alternative. I love this product and I can't wait to continue seeing a more beautiful me emerge.

I am 39 and have had mild acne since I turned 30. I tried ProActiv - it didn't work. I tried several other remedies since then until I got this lit a few months ago. My skin is COMPLETELY CLEAR and continues to be with regular use of these products. I recommend this kit for the 30 and over women who suffer like I did.

I just started using this product over the last month. I definitely see an improvement in my complexion. I have fewer large flare-ups, and the small bumps are slowly disappearing. While I have to use this product in moderation because I have sensitive skin, I do recommend it. Several reviewers commented on the white grainy residue that is left on your skin after applying the lotion (third step); I find that if you wait for it to dry, and then gently wipe your face with a clean, dry washcloth, you are able to remove all white flecks.

This stuff is terrible. I've bought it about three times and every time the cleanser and lotion have felt different. The first time I bought it, the cleanser had exfoliants in it and the lotion was smooth -- but the second time it was backwards! It goes to show this stuff is pretty cheaply made.

I have to say it was the worst product I have ever used. When it says it's for all skin types, that is a total lie! My face turned bright red and it burned so bad. If you have sensitive skin, I highly recommend you try something else.

This one is pretty good. Stick with it and the results get even better. Although, I have a tip for those of you who have multiple types of acne like I do. Use the cleanser with a Buf-Puf to keep dead skin cells from clogging your pores. Also, once a week crush six uncoated aspirin between two spoons and mix it with Queen Helene Mint Julep mask, apply to face, let dry and rinse. This combo might be a little too much for those with very mild acne, but it's a life saver if you get blackheads, whiteheads, and cystic acne. You get the benefits of benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid (from the aspirin), sulfur, and manual exfoliation. A killer combo! Your skin should be drastically improved in four to six weeks!

This stuff is awful! The cleanser is too runny, the toner is too strong and the repair lotion is extremely grainy. I actually thought the company messed up and put the cleanser in the lotion bottle and the lotion in the cleanser bottle. Save your money and buy ProActiv!

I'm a 24 year old female and I've had moderate acne for about 4 years now, though my skin has always been very sensitive. I used AcneFree for a year and I've been using ProActiv for almost the same amount of time now. AcneFree worked fairly well for me, but my skin did seem to develop a resistance to it after awhile. Compared to ProActiv, AcneFree was: harsher on my skin (lotion), grittier (cleanser), it smelled much funkier (ProActiv smells nice, in my opinion), and it bleached my pillows more. However, AcneFree was half the price and it DID work for me. I only used the repairing lotion at night and I used it WITH a moisturizer. Also, I made sure to wear sunscreen during the day. If I noticed my face getting too dry, I would wash it with Cetaphil instead. I do the same thing with ProActiv. I still break out...esp. since I am in grad school and under stress. Also, my skin seems to be more sensitive and acne prone during the summer. However, my skin has improved with both products.

At first I loved this product...but after about three weeks I noticed that it was making my face redder then it's ever been. I only use the lotion at night because it puts little white gritty balls on my face; it's kind of cleared up my acne but I can't stand the redness so I'll have to throw it away - for reference, I have sensitive skin.

I tried this product after my sister used it and said it worked great on her skin although she did not have an acne problem as I do. When I tried it my face broke out really bad for almost 2 months. My face then began to clear up and my skin was very smooth. Only thing I did not like about this product was the repairing lotion; it was very gritty and left dry crumbles on my face. I did a little research and I switched to Klear Action, which is almost the same price as Acne Free but is more like the ingredients in ProActiv. With Klear Action I get the same results, but a smoother repairing lotion. You can also buy it in separate bottles when you run out of one product before the others.
