My 5 star rating is relative. Compared to going to a doctor it's a 2.5, but for OTC it's 5. I couldn't get it to work for small warts on the hands, but I got it to work for medium sized warts on other parts of the body. Don't buy multiple boxes. One box is sufficient. I bought two when I first heard of the product. One stayed in my medicine cabinet for about 2 years. Apparently the medicine slowly leaked out of the container because it was empty when I checked it out.

Liquid nitrogen works better, e.g. better blistering with less pain, but this is supposed to be safer. It is pretty hard to overdo it with this product.

If you've had a wart removed in a dermatologist's office and can follow similar procedures with this product (e.g., making sure the wart is completely frozen and applying multiple applications if necessary over time) then this product will be extremely effective.

Don't waste your money on this. I followed the directions exactly as directed and the wart did not only not go away, it got bigger. These over the counter freeze off treatments have only a fraction of the strength as the ones they use in your Dr's office. Save your money and go to the Dr instead.

I had a persistent (10 months) wart under the front of my thumbnail, my body does not reject these things; I've had one verucca for 4 years. I tried Wartner on it as per instructions: no effect. Then, having read advice to this effect on another forum, I used it in much higher dosage than the instructions recommend: I applied one charge for much longer than 20 sec, i.e. until it gave out, then immediately applied another charge similarly - until an area about 5mm around the wart was frozen and white. After this about half the wart fell off a few days later. I then did the same "nuking" double charge again, and it blistered up and then the rest of the wart fell off a few days after that. Now I seem to be clear. (39 yo male) FYI: This approach should not be tried for kids, as it is pretty painful.

I bought this product for my preteen to remove a wart on her hand. This product damaged the skin surrounding the wart, but did nothing to remove or reduce the size of the wart.
