I love Mrs. Meyer's Lemon Verbena dish soap and hand soap, so I tried the same-fragrance candle to use instead of my usual Febreeze candle in the kitchen. This candle has almost NO scent compared to the liquid soap products. It also doesn't eliminate cooking odors or even pleasantly scent the kitchen. Nothing. Zero. Don't waste your money.

We mostly use this in the bathroom because it doesn't have a dehumidifier and so it can get pretty stuffy. The lemon verbana scent is really nice and clean, but it only needs to burn about 2-3 minutes before the entire bathroom and attached closet smell of the fragrance. It works great in bigger rooms, too. For whatever reason, I don't get as much allergy-type irritation with this soy candle as I do with regular candles. At first it looks like it will burn a hole right through and waste a lot of fragrance, but as it burns down the walls of the candle also burn. We've gotten 3 months of use out of it at 5-10 minutes a day and there's still 25% left.

I love the smell of the lemon verbena dish soap and laundry detergent. I went ahead and bought the candle which is not quite the same; it's a bit more concentrated/lemony. I do prefer the more mellow version in some other products with this scent, but it's still pleasant. My husband describes it as "old timey industrial cleaner smell." I know that doesn't sound flattering, but for him it's a good thing. He has spontaneously commented on several occasions about how much he likes the lemon verbena products. I have noticed that the candle seems to burn on the fast side, but no big deal. Also, the throw of this candle isn't tremendous; it's basically going to stay in the room where you put the candle, and even then, it's pretty tame. I personally like this b/c strong scents can trigger my migraines. Will definitely repurchase.

This has a definite, strong lemony scent. Great for the kitchen (or if your last name is Snicket).

I've gotten M.Meyers candles in the past, but not this scent. Ewwww. The lemon verbena scent is cheap smelling and way too perfumey. I was disappointed because the lavender scent candle i've had in the past lasted such a long time and I loved the smell. Not a winner from Mrs. Meyers, I'm afraid.

I love the scent of this candle and how it's better for the environment since soy burns cleaner. It could be a little stronger but it does the job when it comes to neutralizing cooking odors.
