Not as good as my hot rollers! I tried many different techniques, but the end result was limp and lifeless, damp curls. I just gave mine to charity, I'm back to my hot rollers.

I have the much older system; had it for over 10 years, and it's still going strong. My long, thick hair is very difficult to curl, and I found that the following made a ton of difference: I wind my hair onto an unsteamed roller, then secure it with a clip (like a banana clip), that allows more airflow around it than the ones in the Caruso set. Then, holding onto the clip, I place the roller onto the steamer (you'll have to be careful, as you get pretty close to the steaming unit for this!), and hold until it feels hot. Then I remove it from the steam, take off the clip, roll the curler closer to my head, and put the clip back on. This eliminates that crease in your hair that some are complaining of! My impossible-to-curl hair now stays curled until I wash it...and waking up the next morning, I have gorgeous ringlet curls. Love it!

My hair is very fine and straight. This system works wonders on my limp hair! Heats up in under a minute, and each roller only takes a few seconds on the steamer to warm up. By the time you've put your roller in, the next one is warm and ready. Then let them sit for about 10-15 minutes, and you've got all-day curls. I find that with my fine hair, I also have to use hairspray to hold the curl. This product is great!

I've been using these rollers for over 15 years. They are the only ones that will curl my super straight, fine hair. I just recently gave away my old set (the one you had to add salt to) and bought this one, and it's so much nicer than the old one as far as consistent steam output and not having to add salt. I'm not curling my hair as much these days (straight hair seems to be "in"), but when I do, you can bet I'm using these.

I love this product!!! I have fairly long, quite thick, very curly hair. If I don't work on it, it will be all curly and frizzy. Before this product, I had to roll it on jumbo rollers and sit under a hairdryer for over two hours so I could get shiny, wavy hair with the curl tamed. This device is so much faster!! While it's heating, I put gel on my dry hair for more holding and frizz-taming. Steam each roller for 1 minute and each cover for 15 seconds and I leave them in for half an hour while I eat breakfast, make lunch, etc. Then I run a hand-held hairdryer over them on hot for 1 minute and on cool (to set the curl) for 10 seconds. Then I finger-comb all my hair and gather it in the back with a scrunchy - two twists around and don't pull it through on the third twist, so it's gathered in a loop. When I get to the office, I remove the scrunchy and finger-comb it out again and it is gorgeous all day (and evening!) long - glossy, wavy, bouncy, and it doesn't curl up or frizz.

Very healthy, soft curls, but they take much longer to set up than the company advertises. I have shoulder length hair, and the curlers take around 3 hours to fully set. Plus, they are heavier than traditional curlers, so they are uncomfortable to wear around for so long. The curls do not stay in until you wash them out as the company advertises, though they do last longer than with hot rollers. The results are worth it if you have a lot of time, or short hair. I wouldn't recommend them if you are looking for an everyday set of curlers.

I have short hair now. But I have used the Caruso system for years. I am so glad to see it still around. I have never used a product that I loved so much. I took mine everywhere with me. It was so nice to heat the rollers, and when you took them out your hair had great curl, felt so moisturized, and my curls lasted for days. If I ever grow my hair longer I will go back to Caruso. I have many rollers so I really just need the steamer. This was one of the best products I ever used on my hair. I am surprised they aren't everywhere.

I have hair that is very straight but using this system my hair stays curled and soft all day. The best part is you only have to leave them in for minutes not hours for them to work. I have used this for a long time - the easiest and best curling system there is.

I absolutely love these rollers and hope they are never discontinued. Because of them, I can now eliminate the need for expensive perms that burned and frizzed my hair to no end. These are the only rollers that have ever curled my thin, limp hair. One trick for longer lasting curls and TREMENDOUS body: leave the curlers in the steamer for a few seconds longer (until they are wet), roll them all up and then take a blow dryer and dry (high speed) each roller for a few seconds. The result is a more full bodied look that will last longer - and it only takes a few extra minutes to achieve it.

Excellent curls without drying out my hair! Just have to be careful not to burn yourself on the steam when removing curlers from the base.
