This cleanser is one of the very few that does not, and still cleans everything off my face, including eye-makeup! The smell is fantastic, very citrus-y, uplifting, and fresh smelling, yet not over-powering (to me anyway). I only have two minor complaints about the cleanser.. and they are very minor indeed. The first is that it does leave your face feeling somewhat tight and dry if your skin is not oily. Moisturizer solves that problem. The second is what everyone else seems to be saying, if you get some in your eyes, expect it to burn. I'm careful when I apply it around my eyes for that reason, but I don't skip that area entirely, like others seem to be doing. The burning seems par for the course when it comes to cleansers to me, but maybe others have been using some miracle cleanser that doesn't. I will keep buying this cleanser, as long as they keep making it. Don't let the eye burning scare you off, it's a fantastic product. I've had oily skin my whole life and have tried almost every cleanser on the market for oily skin, whether they are from a local drugstore or Saks 5th Avenue. I recently decided to focus on natural products with less harmful ingredients and happened upon this cleanser. After a month or so of use, I purchased 3 other bottles for my shower, my stepkid's medicine cabinet, and his shower. The whole family uses this facewash and our skin has never looked or felt better! Skin is literally squeaky clean after use with no trace of dirt or oil. No residue, no weird film, and it smells fresh and fruity. Since using Alba Hawaiian Facial Cleanser the blackheads on my nose & cheeks are gone. It hasn't decreased the oiliness of my skin but I haven't found anything that does. I have crazy oily skin and this helps tame it without making it feel dry or tight. You have to use a couple pumps to get a good lather but it's a generous size at 8oz. I've been using it for a couple weeks and so far it hasn't made a difference in my acne but then again neither has anything else. It does make your skin fell extra tight after use, but a little bit of moisturizer takes care of that. It smells wonderful and I use it every day with the Olay Pro-X Advanced Cleansing system to really deep clean my face. My black heads have almost completely disappeared! I never used a cleanser that did this to me before and I don't open my eyes when i am using a cleanser, some just happens to go near the eyes... I have a very oily T-zone and I get blackheads, so the enzymes in this face soap work really well to eat up the dead skin cells that clog my pores.
