Emmanuel Bronner passed away peacefully on March 7th of 1997. The business continues to be run by the Bronner family with no break in continuity. Over 1000 acres of Bronner's beloved Rain Forest was donated by his family to the Boys and Girls Clubs of San Diego County, California. Underprivileged children can now camp under the stars within sight of Mt. Palomar which is often mentioned in the Moral ABC.

Wonderful soap! It's a nice big size and develops a silky, bubbly, almost creamy lather. It rinses off well and leaves behind no residue. It also does not dry my skin. The fragrance is invigorating, but more on the mild side. Beware however, it contains peppermint oil and so it definitely leaves your skin with a little tingle. Very refreshing and lovely in the summertime, but I do not recommend it for more delicate/private areas of the body. The only reason I rated it as 4-stars is because of the price. I think it's expensive and unlike triple milled soaps, it doesn't last that long.

I bought this soap because I read the reviews and thought it would have a bright, refreshing peppermint smell. It smells ok but it's more like a hint of peppermint, not at all what I was hoping for. My husband says it smells like medicine. Be careful using this soap around your private parts becuase the peppermint oil could be irritating if you have a sensitive area. I like the tease of the tingle but I always rinsed it off fairly quickly in fear that the the tingle would turn into a sting. It rinses off very well. Unlike some other reviewers, I have found this soap to last as long as any other soap. Perhaps their soap dishes are in the path of their shower spray?

My husband loves this soap. The smell is fantastic-peppermint- and is fairly long lasting. We take this soap when we travel instead of using those tiny soaps in the hotels. He says that this really makes his skin feel clean. We have tried most of the Dr. Bronner scents and always come back to this one.

Because of the work my husband does working in car grease or oil from time to time. I thought this soap would help take away the oil scent the lags behind after taking a bath. It works it helps to eliminate that old oily smell that lingers behind.

The beast soap I have used in terms of lather, feeling clean, pleasant smell. However, it dries my skin. I like the feeling of the freshness after using this soap. Now, I am using bar soaps from Bentley organics which is better than Dr.Bronner Soap in terms of moisturizing.

This product keeps my skin smooth and prevents breakouts. It is safe to use on just about everything. Skip the expensive stuff with artificial this and thats and use this for must less cost.

This soap is great for people like me who want to avoid some of the additives in today's soap products. I have sensitive skin and this is one of the only soaps that doesn't irritate my skin. I like the zingy peppermint scent. This is a great product.

Fantastic everyday shower soap. It feels clean without the harshness. The peppermint scent is subtle, soothing, and not overpowering. I do not like perfumey smells and stay away from products with fragrance in the ingredients. Less pricey than other natural soaps, and the bar lasts a long time. No negatives, just love it.

love this soap, especially for camping or outdoors activities. i can be pretty girly but i do field work in the forest and travel a lot. the minty fresh feeling after a sweaty sticky day is fantastic. it makes you feel really clean, cool and extra refreshed after you finally hit the shower. and you can use it for other things... wash your clothes, dishes, whatever in a pinch. really great all purpose product... and bonus it's all natural and earth friendly!
