Emmanuel Bronner passed away peacefully on March 7th of 1997. The business continues to be run by the Bronner family with no break in continuity. Over 1000 acres of Bronner's beloved Rain Forest was donated by his family to the Boys and Girls Clubs of San Diego County, California. Underprivileged children can now camp under the stars within sight of Mt. Palomar which is often mentioned in the Moral ABC.
In support of sustainable agriculture, farmworker health and ecological processing methods, Dr. Bronner's Magic Soaps has sourced certified organic oils that meet our rigorous quality and supply requirements. The fragrance on the bar soaps are light, just enough to be experienced but do not linger on the body and very 'true' and 'pure.' Peppermint is my favorite and it does not tingle or burn the body (anywhere!) It's just clean, light, and refreshing. Rose is my second favorite along with lemon. The bar soaps create this thick cream like luxurious lather and do not dry the skin, they are very moisturizing and perfect for sensitive or dry skin. These are also great spot treaters for laundry stains! Try it and you'll understand the loyal following.

Since discovering this pure castile soap -- all natural and the way soap is (in my estimation) suppose to be made I haven't used anything else. Also purchased for my mom who loves the soap too.

I bought this soap because I've used and enjoyed Dr. Bronner's peppermint soap, loved the smell, and was expecting something equally as nice. This soap STINKS. It doesn't smell the least bit floral--any kind of floral: It smells like burned styrene plastic. It's so horrible, I couldn't stand to have it in my bathroom--I threw it the heck out.

I use this soap every day. It lathers well and smells great. It does not dry my skin. I have also used it to wash my face with no problems.

This soap smells good, cleans well, and doesn't dry out my skin. It is made from 100% organic ingredients by a very old and reputable company, Dr. Bronner's. If you want a lovely soap without all the nasty chemicals, this is for you! I like all the scents, but especially the lavender and rose.

I'm noticing that my skin is less tolerant of chemicals used in commercial soaps. I use this product at work, for it's natural ingredients and for it's moisturizing qualities. I gave it a try after seeing it on the drugstore.com website and will probably try the other soaps Dr. Bronner offers as well, lavender etc..
