Emmanuel Bronner passed away peacefully on March 7th of 1997. The business continues to be run by the Bronner family with no break in continuity. Over 1000 acres of Bronner's beloved Rain Forest was donated by his family to the Boys and Girls Clubs of San Diego County, California. Underprivileged children can now camp under the stars within sight of Mt. Palomar which is often mentioned in the Moral ABC.

i'm not sure why people are saying this soap drys the skin a bit. i've not experienced any drying. in fact, it's quite the opposite. i use it in the shower with exfoliating gloves and it works excellent. i used to have dry, scaley, cracked looking skin on my lower leg area above the sock line. couldn't make it look moist if i had too. now, i no longer have the scales. i'm shocked to be quite honest. i'm a newbe to natural products and this one hits a home run. tremendous lather. decent smell. and my skin is moisturized. i live in southern AZ (dry dry dry), and i don't use lotion. do any guys put lotion on their legs??? for those who say it's drying a bit, i seriously have to question that. perhaps they have never used zest. using zest during a shower always made my lower legs feel itchy, like i had to rinse really really well, and even that didn't stop the "itching". this soap doesn't do that at all. pretty frickin amazing if you ask me.

I use Dr.Bronner's liquid soap in almond everywhere- mainly to wash my face, hands, and small hand wash laundry. That one is so good that I recommended my boyfriend use this as well. He wanted a bar of soap instead of liquid and he has very oily skin and mild acnes. So i ordered this since tea tree is known for acne prone/ oily skin. He actually started breaking out more than usual after using this and made his face feel tight and dry but still oily outside. I tried this and it was way too drying for my skin since I have very dry skin. I'm sticking to my almond liquid soap.

This is a lovely castile soap that really cleans when I am filthy from working outside. The tea tree oil ingredient was what I was looking for because it soothes any little scratches and insect bites. It leaves my skin squeaky clean but not dried out. I keep it dry between showers and it seems to be lasting very well. If you like to play in the dirt you will love it.

I like that the ingredients are natural and is the primary reason why I use these soaps. They do clean well and I sometimes use it as a facial cleanser because it washes all of my makeup off in a pinch. However, I don't do it often as it can strip all oils and be drying if used too often.

I am not a "brand" buyer nor a "budget" buyer. This is a quality soup and well worth the investment for a comfortable day. As alot of us, I start my day with a shower and the soap used will make all the difference.

This has all of the therapeutic benefits of Tea Tree Oil in a very convenient bar. Smells good and leaves skin soft. Make sure to leave the bar where it can stay dry or it will disolve.

I cut this in half. Gave one half to my son and I am using the other half. It is working well on my face, under my arms, leg shaving soap, and hand soap. My son uses it in the evening on his face for acne. It is nice that the scent is not too strong or my son wouldn't tolerate it.
