Dr. Varon's Vitamin C Concentrated Serum rates 4 out of 5 stars, from 24 customer reviews.Anti-aging, firming
by Lily[Verified Reviewer] in Florida on 10/24/09
Pros: Evens Out Skin Tone, Minimizes Wrinkles, Noticeable Results
Cons: Bad Smell, Difficult To Use
Describe Yourself: Budget Buyer
Best Uses: Fine Lines
Bottom Line: recommended
I think the product is very effective. I find that it does firm the skin and seems to be making a difference with the fine lines. I noticed an improvement immediately, but there is also improvement over time (I am mostly through my first bottle). It is runny and doesn't smell very good, but the way I use it is to apply it from the dropper to a cotton ball, then wipe it over my face and neck. I even use it on my eyelids and lips without irritation. I use about one dropperful every night. The cotton ball seems to be the only way I could figure out to apply it. Otherwise it just runs through your fingers and you'll waste half the bottle. The ingredients are all good ones, so I believe this could be an effective long-term product, and the price tag is very affordable.
Dr. Varon's Vitamin C Concentrated Serum rates 5 out of 5 stars, from 24 customer reviews.Vit C serums are usually runny
by Product Lover[Verified Reviewer] in Hawaii on 9/20/09
Pros: Easy To Use
Describe Yourself: Brand Buyer
Bottom Line: recommended
Vit C serums, especially the effective form of Vit c with L ascorbic or ascorbic acid are runny like water and smell weird. If you have used Skinceuticals or Cellex c before which are the top in vitamin c serums you would know this. Also, once these forms of vit c are absorbed into the skin it doesnt wash off. Maybe that is why it is like water, it goes into the skin where it is active up to 3 days. It does not sit on top like a layer!
Dr. Varon's Vitamin C Concentrated Serum rates 1 out of 5 stars, from 24 customer reviews.Almost impossible to use - very watery
by EvanstonIrish[Verified Reviewer] in Chicago, IL on 9/20/09
Cons: Difficult To Use
Describe Yourself: Brand Buyer
Bottom Line: not recommended
This product is a very watery orange fluid and almost impossible to apply. It comes with a curved dropper. If you try to apply directly to your face, the fluid runs down your face before you get a chance to rub it in. You can't apply it with your fingers either, as it is so watery that it drips right off your fingers. I have no idea whether the product is effective or not because it is so difficult to apply and you end up wasting half of it.
Dr. Varon's Vitamin C Concentrated Serum rates 3 out of 5 stars, from 24 customer reviews.Difficult to apply - too watery
by Sunny[Verified Buyer] in Phoenix AZ on 3/13/09
Pros: Improves Skin Texture, Smells Great
Cons: Difficult To Use
Describe Yourself: Budget Buyer
Bottom Line: recommended
Because it is so watery, you have to apply via the dropper directly to the area in which is it to be applied, then spread quickly before it dries. It seems to do a good job and the price is much better than several other products.
Dr. Varon's Vitamin C Concentrated Serum rates 1 out of 5 stars, from 24 customer reviews.Yellow Stinky Water
by Erin[Verified Reviewer] in Kansas City, MO on 1/22/09
Cons: Bad Smell, Difficult To Use, No Noticeable Results
Describe Yourself: Brand Buyer
Bottom Line: not recommended
Well, I couldn't get past the first use of this product because it has the consistency of water! Since when does a "serum" run down my hands literally like water. The smell was awful; nontheless, I ineffectively tried to rub this product on my face. Perhaps I got a bad bottle. I'll never buy this brand again.
Dr. Varon's Vitamin C Concentrated Serum rates 4 out of 5 stars, from 24 customer reviews. No Expiration Date
by V, vegas[Verified Buyer] in New Orleans, La. on 1/16/09
Pros: Easy To Use, Evens Out Skin Tone, Improves Skin Texture, Minimizes Wrinkles, Noticeable Results
Describe Yourself: Budget Buyer
Best Uses: Fine Lines
Bottom Line: recommended
I use it daily for fine lines and to even out my skin tone. It is wonderful and I have seen dramatic results. I really want to continue using it because it really does work. The problem that I find is that the product does not have a long shelf life. When I receive the product I only get approximately three weeks of usuage out of one bottle before it begins to turn really dark, then black in color. Vit C should be pale to light yellow in color. Potency is lost once it becomes dark to balck in color. There should be an expiration date on the product but there is not expiration date on it. Vit C does expire. Please put an expiration date on this product. The price of the product warrants that we receive a potent, unexpired bottle of Vitamin C serum.t
Dr. Varon's Vitamin C Concentrated Serum rates 1 out of 5 stars, from 24 customer reviews. Is it supposed to be runny?
by Erin[Verified Reviewer] in Kansas City, MO on 1/7/09
Cons: Defective Bottle, Watery
Bottom Line: not recommended
I'm a bit perplexed whether or not I received a defective bottle. My "serum" is not serum consistency at all - it is the consistency of water. Awful smelling water at that. Has anyone else experienced this? How does one apply this product when it literally has the consistency of water? Complete waste of money, and it's not really worth the hassle for me to return it.

Dr. Varon's Vitamin C Concentrated Serum rates 5 out of 5 stars, from 24 customer reviews.Great Product!
by ~M[Verified Buyer] in UT on 11/17/08
Pros: Improves Skin Texture, Noticeable Results, Soothing
Cons: Little sticky
Describe Yourself: Brand Buyer
Bottom Line: recommended
I've seen negative reviews on this product, but I think it's a great product at an excellent price. I've been through about 5 bottles. I normally buy high end products from my dermatologist ($100+), and I can tell by comparison that this is pure vitamin C. My doctor even asked me what I was using on my face because my skin is in such good condition~ this was before I purchased other products from him. I'm 47. A little sticky, but that goes away quickly. Well worth it!
