GOOD OVERALL SELF-TANNER WITH RELIABLE NATURAL COLOR. I have been using this self-tanner for some time now, and have had excellent results. I have followed the directions and exfoliated/shaved before using, and have never had any issues with streaking/uneven color. The color seems to develop better if you massage the lotion into the skin. It's also helpful if you use a blow-dryer to speed the drying. There is some "post-tan" scent (like all self-tanners - from the chemical process that causes the self-tanning color to emerge), but it's not excessive with this product, and I have found that it disappears completely after bathing. I have also used the product successfully on my face, although I would exercise caution if your skin is very oily, as it leaves a greasy residue. Since my face is somewhat dry, and I have always applied to product to just-cleaned skin, I have not had any issues myself, but it might be problematic for break-outs for someone with acne-prone skin.

This is the first review I have ever written for a product because it is so amazing! I have tried LOTS of self tanners through the years - including the expensive ones, and think this is by far the best. It feels good going on, dries quickly, doesn't stain anything, has SPF, and the color is fantastic. I highly recommend it, and will never spend lots of money on self tanner again!

I bought this thinking I would get a nice, even, glowing tan that would look natural, and 0boy was I wrong. I followed the directions, took a hot shower before, scrubbed my skin from head to toe, then I put this on. I put it on extremely carefully, scrubbed my hands like 5 times, then went to sleep. When I woke up, all I saw was bright orange all over me! The color of the bottel is exactly the color I was. It was splotchy, and every inch of my hands and nails were orange and looked terrible, not knowing what to do, I took a shower and scrubed as hard as I could to the point where my skin hurt, when I got out of the shower it only got worse, now some areas of my skin were bright red and some were orange, that day it was 85 degrees and I had ot go to school with a long sleeve shirt and pants, which still didn't cover my orange face or hands. The orange color lasted at least 2 and a half weeks.

I love this product. I have a hard time believeing some of the other reviews. It never made my skin orange and it always washes cleanly from my hands. I only use a small amount about the size of a quarter for each leg, for example. I tend to have dry skin, and other self tanner's leave my skin so dry, but this leaves it well hydrated. It has left one streak on my thigh, but I just used the pre-tan exfoliator and reapplied the next day. I'm not sure I'll ever use anything else.

This product is kind of weird. It's temperamental. Sometimes, it works amazingly, and sometimes, I end up looking like a streaky, freaky mess. But I've found a way to make it go on just the way I want it. First I take a shower and exfoliate head to toe. Then a apply a regular body lotion, more on the elbows and knees. Then I put the self-tanner, making sure only to lightly glaze the knees and elbows. RIGHT after I apply the self-tanner, I wash my hands several times with St. Tropez Self-Tanner Remover. This product tends to stain palms very badly. Overall, an alright product since the color isn't too orange, but I have since switched to the tinted gel version, since you can see where you apply it.

Had a nice color, but didn't ever really dry. Also was very streaky and splotchy. I use the Jergans lotion with better results though, slower.

Do you see that picture of the product, with the orange lid? That's what color my legs were a day after I used this product. My palms were also orange, even though I thoroughly washed them with soap and hot water. It was a better smelling tanner than most, but the orange skin just doesn't do it for me. I think I'll keep my white skin from now on.

Please consider trying something else if you're looking for a self tanner. This product was absolute awful; it is VERY streaky and I was very careful but it still streaked. It stains your palms no matter what -- so make sure you wear gloves. It has a nice smell, but is pretty greasy it takes FOREVER to dry. It's hard to see where you've put it to avoid putting too much. Also gives kind of a sick color to the skin; it reminded me of the end stages of a really deep bruise, kind of an orangey yellow, even a faint greenish color. PLEASE TRY SOMTHING ELSE! SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!!!

I normally use Jergen's Natural Glow but thought I'd try this because it has an SPF 15. It's a good moisturizer and it smells really nice. My only complaint is that it comes in a Light-Medium version instead of just one for Light skin. I am quite pale and this did give me a nice tan. However, since it does give a somewhat darker tan than the Jergen's lotion it is less forgiving. I had a nice even tan on my arms and legs but freakishly dark feet and splotches on my ankles and wrists. I will use it again but I will be much more careful on how I apply it.
