I was hesitant to use self tanners for the longest time because I'm Sicilian and EXTREMELY olive-toned. Pretty much everything looks orange or odd on my skin tone, and Loreal was actually one of the first make-up companies to make a really good foundation for olive skin. So, I went ahead and tried their self tanner recently, when I decided to stay the heck away from tanning beds. I tried a gradual self tanner first, which worked really well. The only problem was that it never got very dark. It smelled a lot like when I would leave a tanning bed, too. Kind of stinky, and I have no idea why it would need to be. It's a dye, not a bottle of sweat and body odor. So, why do they smell just like that? Then I tried a spray tan, which was okay. It also didn't get very dark, though. I read all kinds of bad reviews that the spray forms are uneven, but they're really not. I'm pretty clumsy, too. They're just wimpy. Lastly, I tried this stuff. It works REALLY well. I tried it in medium and then moved up to dark. I started with this medium since I'm scared of getting orange skin. If it was orange, at least my dark skin would cover most of it up until it wore off. Neither was orange, which is saying a lot for someone with olive skin! It looks orangey in it's gel-like form, but it comes out brown. Take it from me, I can easily spot orange. I live in Texas, where it's EXTREMELY humid, so it did stay greasy. However, that might just be my environment. The only big warning I have for anyone is: Unless you're a preteen and are really into that, don't make plans to go out right after you apply it. You're going to need a shower! It's got this horrible Hannah Montana-aged, heavy glitter to it. WOW, it's got a lot of glitter....lol. Other than that, it works really well!

I bought this product[...] and I love it! They don't carry it at mine here by my house so I bought it on here for less, of course! I use it all over, even my face. It does make my face a little "muddy" but I fix that with my make up products. It has bronzer in it so you see where it goes on and it is shimmery and you have color right away. I use it at night because it is stinky but in the morning after a shower, viola! Perfect color! I have fair/medium skin, and this does not streak, fade or have a funny color. Exfoliation is the key too. As with all self tanners, it will be splotchy if you do not exfoliate. It fades naturally. becareful around knees, elbows, hairline, ect. again, as with all of them. I have another self tanner that I just started using and it left my hands EXTREMELY dark. I have to use gloves with it. Not with this one, but do wash your hands afterwards. I use a makeup sponge to do my feet and backs of hands and that blends it really good and tints hands and feet very naturally. I use it 3 days in a row to build my tan, then twice a week to keep it up.

Cons: Has sparkles

I love this sunless tanner! I've been trying to find a tanner for years that doesn't streak, and fades evenly. I am very fair, especially on my legs. I use this 1-2 times a week and it is awesome. The color looks natural, it dries extremely quick, it applies evenly and fades evenly. The only reason why I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the sparkles it leaves behind after applying. Being 32 yrs. old, I could do without these.

Love this sunless tanning lotion and have been using for several years. As long as you moisturize skin prior to applying there will be no streaking. Natural looking, deepens quickly, and I find the slight shiimmer quite subtle and pretty - and I am no spring chicken!

I am very fair skinned with freckles. I have tried every self-tanner out there and this is by far the best. (other than getting air-brushed.) I apply it right out of the shower after applying lotion to my elbows, knees and ankles. It dries very quickly and the smell is great! NONE of that yucky self tanner smell that ALL the others have! The sparkles are a bit much, but wash off in the shower. Just apply it at night and wait a half hour or so before going to bed. Then when you take a shower in the morning and head to work, you look like you've spent the weekend at the beach! This is now a staple in my cabinet!

I love this product and used it all last summer. My only complaint is that it now has mica chips (something spakling) in the lotion. I never noticed it last year, but this year, standing out in the sunshine, my arms and legs sparkled...and the sparkles are different colors. I think a younger person would love it...Especially going out on the town, but us older girls? I am not too sure.
