It does make my face a little "muddy" but I fix that with my make up products. It has bronzer in it so you see where it goes on and it is shimmery and you have color right away. I use it at night because it is stinky but in the morning after a shower, viola! Perfect color! I have fair/medium skin, and this does not streak, fade or have a funny color. Exfoliation is the key too. As with all self tanners, it will be splotchy if you do not exfoliate. It fades naturally. becareful around knees, elbows, hairline, ect. again, as with all of them. I have another self tanner that I just started using and it left my hands EXTREMELY dark. I have to use gloves with it. Not with this one, but do wash your hands afterwards. I use a makeup sponge to do my feet and backs of hands and that blends it really good and tints hands and feet very naturally. I use it 3 days in a row to build my tan, then twice a week to keep it up. VS Most Liked Negative Review I have been using ... I have been using Medium/Dark for the last couple of years. Got replaced by the Medium Natural Tan in new formula. The first couple of times it dried so quickly that my hands would stop gliding across my skin as I rubbed it in. Like, when it dries and I'm still rubbing, the product actually MOVES so that there is an area that previously had some product on it which now has none and the product was doubled wherever my hand stopped gliding. Suffice it to say I'm done with this product. Even after I did some online research and decided to apply lotion first, it goes on better, but is still so incredibly streaky, it could never be described as "streak-free." Loreal said product was still available, but if I couldn't find it, I could try one of their stores in L.A. or Farmington, CT. I was told it was "upgraded" to the medium natural tan product and my lovely product was no longer available. I'm really surprised it passed product testing -- incredibly, utterly stupefied! Best Uses Comments about L'Oreal Paris Sublime Self-Tanning Lotion, Medium Natural, 5 fl oz: This can no longer be called a lotion. It is now a watery tinted bronzer with no self-tanning action I can see. When you apply it, that's the deepest darkest the color will get. No further color development occurs. There is no self-tanning smell because there's no self tanner in this product! Why not just call it makeup. Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend Was this review helpful? Comments about L'Oreal Paris Sublime Self-Tanning Lotion, Medium Natural, 5 fl oz: I read reviews online before buying in store. Wanted to try the gradual tanner by L'oreal but they didn't have it so I got this one. First time using a tinted one so I blame myself for not rubbing it in well enough and getting some streaking on my arms/wrists. Other than that, I am very happy with it. I have very fair skin and had some color from laying outside before applying this. It gave me natural looking color quickly and has so far lasted through a workout and shower. Currently on day two with a nice color. Not extremely dark or orange but like I sat in the actual sun. I actually LOVE the smell (might be my favorite thing about it) and I like the shimmery effect of it. It's subtle, not a glitter glow. The shimmer effect does wash off so not a big deal if you don't like that. My other concern was having it clog my pores as my skin is breakout prone, especially due to exercising and hot weather. A couple days after use and skin is still looking fine. Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Was this review helpful? Comments about L'Oreal Paris Sublime Self-Tanning Lotion, Medium Natural, 5 fl oz: I have yet to find the perfect self tanner for legs, but this ranks with the worst. It is thick, sticky and smelly. Difficult to apply evenly, and fades in patches. Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend Was this review helpful? Yes / No - You may also flag this review 6/3/2010 Good. After reading the reviews, I tried this product and was impressed. I mixed it with some lotion and applied it after showering and it left me with a really nice color - and I am extremely fair. If the sparkles concern anyone, put it on the night before and when you shower the next day, you are left with a nice color tan.
