Too greasy and heavy

I saved for a long time to be able to buy this fancy cream only to be hugely disappointed b/c it is so heavy to apply and leaves my face too oily to go out so I have to use it as a night cream and have to spend more money to buy another moisturizer to use as day cream, as if buying this cream didn't break my budget as it is. It's just made me so sad and mad that for something so expensive it did not deliver anything for me but grief. This cream also made my face breakout b/c it is so heavy.

This product is great! A good friend of mine who has amazing skin turned me onto this product. I use it for pm moisturizing. I have used it for about 3 weeks now and it has made a big difference in my challenging, break out prone, sensitive skin. My skin is more even and the fine lines are less noticeable, not to mention I have been break out free. My skin finally feels moisturized all day! It is worth every penny!

I've used this product--sparingly--nightly for the past 2 years, and have noticed an improvement in my skin tone and texture. A little goes a very long way, especially if you dampen your fingers before applying. One large jar lasts about 9 months or so.

Thought this would break out my combo skin because it seemed so thick, but it is perfect for my dehydrated skin. Makes it very soft and quickly absorbs into the skin with a barrier to protect it. Just put a small amount on fingers and emulsify before applying. I thought this was too expensive before I used it, but it is worth it!! Want to try the Ancien elixer now.

I think this product is great! I have no problem with the scent or the moisturizing part (that's all I care anyway). I want to say, this product works really well! But for [$], I just have to knock off one star.BTW, I recommend La Mer's Body Creme, which sells for[$] if anyone is intersted in purchasing quality, but expensive body creams.

This is definitely the most expensive skincare product I bought in my entire life. I really wouldn't have bought it if weren't for the fact I got this as a gift from an admirer. At first, I was insulted by the gift but when I found out how expensive it was, I was happy. But then, I tried the cream and the more I became happy. This is above and beyond perfection. No other cream in the world comes close to this product. I was a La Mer person before but after trying Creme Ancienne, the rest of my La Mer ended up on my elbows and feet. The texture of Creme Ancienne is rich but delicate and the scent is divine. Once you apply on the skin, it immediately is absorbed and does not leave an oily residue. And the moisturization lasts the entire day. So, this bottle will last you a while. I probably used 4 bottles a year. I see the thousand dollars a year as an investment to maintain my youthful looking skin. It is definitely cheaper than going to the surgeon for a twice a year Botox shot.

This cream is miraculous. I have combination skin, and using it really did wonders for the texture. No more dry spots, and oily areas have improved. The smaller jar lasted me about 4 months, so I'm getting a big one now. The cream itself has a very dense texture because of all the natural waxes. I was alarmed by it at first, but it's very easy to apply, and feels very light on the skin. I simply love it.

If I could give this product 10 stars I would! I wondered who in their right mind would pay so much for a moisturiser...after using it for just 1 week, I no longer have to ask that question. From my skin's texture to its glow, I can't believe what this product has done. It's DEFINITELY well worth a try!
