This is the most pleasant alternative to the over-priced "lip gloss" or "chapstick" products that I have found. It is "old-timey", very nearly tasteless (except for a pleasant, faintly fruity taste),. One tin will last months with daily application. Caution: It will melt inside a hot car. I highly recommend buying several - one for each room, pocket or purse. It is much more of a "balm" than a "cosmetic". I adore the stuff!

I love this stuff. Because I have chronic drymouth I also have chronically chapped lips that get horrendously bad in the winter with heat inside and dry air insode as well as outside. When I use this on my lips routinely, they stay smooth and uncracked. If I forget to use and they get bad, a few days of using it heals them right up, which isn't true for most other lip treatments I've tried. And it smells nice and it a good value--a little goes a long way!

I discovered Rosebud Perfume Co. Smith's Rosebud Salve over four years ago on a trip to Atlanta. Unfortunately the store where I found it is not located where I live but thankfully I discovered that drugstore.com had it. I buy it in bulk and keep the tins everywhere around my house, one on my desk at work, and one in my purse, of course. Don't, however, leave it in your car in the summer or you will have a mess. I use it on my lips and my cuticles. It has just a slight tint of color and it's glossy which is perfect for me since I don't do well with lipstick. I use it as a substitute for lotion on my hands even though it can be a bit greasy at first. It soaks in your hands pretty quickly though and if you use it sparingly it won't be that greasy. Even my husband uses it in a pinch. I found one time when I applied it to a bump on my face that the bump went away quickly. Not sure if that was just a fluke but the tin says it can be used for blemishes. It lasts a long time so you get your money's worth. I've given it as gifts to friends and they enjoy it too. One final thing, my husband loves to kiss me when I have it on my lips.

i've been searching for the perfect lip balm. i've tried everything from the the $3 drugstore lip balm to the $116 department store lip treatment. i must say that the rosebud salve is absolutely the best product i've ever put on my lips. it not only moisturizes and protects, but it leaves a subtle glossy shine. i will definitely be converting my gfs.

this is a great product for dry skin, but a little greasy on the fingers, just take time to sit down and let is soak in, or put on at night with white cotton gloves. good for cracked feet and even for skin irritatioins on my dog. only thing is the tin is really hard to open, I finally put plastic wrap over mine. also, the size could be bigger, I use it up fast. great smell and overall a good barain.
