Every time in the past ...

Every time in the past year that I've started trying another product - and I've used a ton previously, including prescriptions, ProActiv, etc - my acne has come back. It's drying, yes, but not nearly as irritating to my skin as I've found many prescriptions to be. It's the overnight acne lotion that's most drying; for most people, I think it's best to use it sparingly. Once I get my skin under control, I limit its use to either problem spots or all over a couple of times weekly. In particular, I was impressed how it fixed my chest acne. About a year and a half ago, for the first time I developed acne on my chest. It was going on for six months, and my dermatologist couldn't make it go away, not even with antibiotics - yet this fixed it. Mostly sticking with the wash and the moisturizer has worked for my chest (though at first I used the acne lotion); and again, for my face, I limit the use of the acne lotion. On occasion I need a heavier moisturizer. Still, overall, just *amazing*.

This is finally the one product that clears up my acne! I had foolishly switched to another product because it boasts to clear acne scars. Not only did my scars look the same, I started breaking out all over my face, especially my forehead. I'm now back to this Neutrogena acne kit and my face is acne-free after one week. My only complain is that the overnight lotion dries my face a bit. But I just put on a non-oily moisturizer on top and I'm good to go.

Great product! I have two teenage boys, one is 18 and one is 15. They have used several acne medications, including being on Acutane. This product has been the only one that has really worked for them that is not prescription. When they start to run out, they get desperate to find some. The cleanser seems to be the most effective for them, that and the night time lotion. I wished it was sold separatly. When their face gets to dry from the lotion they will use my moisturizer which is Neutrogena combination moisturizer. The only thing you could do better is sell it separatly instead of in a kit.

Before using this product, I was using Proactiv. I didn't want to spend that much on skincare products, so I switched to this. It continued to keep my skin acne-free and fresh! I actually noticed that my skin looked better than when I was using Proactiv. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone who is struggling with acne and needs a solid routine. I also suggest using a mild alcohol-free toner after using the cleanser.

This is the most effective over the counter product I have used for my acne. However, if you use it as it instructs you, you will find yourself with overly dry skin. In the morning I use the facial wash and wipe with a clean cloth. Then I follow with the sunscreen lotion. At night, I may or may not use the benzoyl peroxide. It depends on whether or not I have any pimples. If I do, then I apply it only to the pimple not the whole face! Very important to know, because the instructions do not specify that. In addition, I only use the face wash once a day, because twice a day will irritate my skin. And every once in a while I skip it altogether. I love this product, but you have to change the frequency in which you use it in order to get the results you need.

This is the BEST Acne Skincare I've ever tried and I've tried it all! I've been using this for over a year now and my skin is clear, soft and beautiful! The cleanser and acne lotion are wonderful and really cleanse my skin while preventing AND taking away oncoming zits!!! The SPF 15 Moisturizer is the ONLY daytime moisturizer I'll use, it's so hard to find a good moisturizer for acne-proned skin WITH SPF in it! This kit works even better than Pro-Activ or Dr. Murrad's Acne Kit, no suprise though, Neutrognea is the BEST! Try this kit, you will NOT be sorry! It ROCKS! A++++

Before using this system I had mild to moderate acne. I used this stuff for about a week and my face then broke out in painful cystic acne. I had a huge patch of cysts on each side of my face around the jaw line. This might be one of those scenarios where it is supposed to get worse before it gets better, but I don't care. I really can't wait that long while enduring so much acne. The cleanser stung while on my skin, the overnight lotion is completely drying, and a moisturizer is a must. The daytime lotion seems to be ok though. I'm going to be looking for something a bit gentler than this system.

This did nothing for my skin, if anything it made my acne worse. I have pretty bad acne and once I started using this system my acne became severe. My face was dried out around my mouth, chin and forehead yet my nose was completely oily and yucky by lunch time and I had a brand new blemish everyday. My skin hasn't been this bad since I was in high school. The only thing that I found o.k. was the night lotion, other than that it was horrible.

I did not have severe acne before I used this product. I had a few large pimples on top of my forehead and a few on my chin. This product is supposed to be acne therapy however once I started to use this product; I noticed that my forehead had started to break out more than before using it. The combination of ingredients was too strong. The night time acne lotion dried out my skin causing a bit of pain. The cleanser caused my skin to become extremely dried out. The daytime lotion moisturized my skin. The ingredients do not work effectively together for my skin type and I would not use this product ever again.
