Have not had luck with any other product. I wash my face at night with Cetaphil, though. (And I use the facial scrub/cleanser that's included in the kit on my body in the shower.) Then I put on the moisturizer/sunscreen at night and then the overnight treatment lotion.
Then, in the morning, I actually don't wash my face (I'm not super-oily) - but that lack of scrubbing seems to keep my skin calmer. Make sure you change your pillowcase often and keep your hands off your face while you're sleeping. But I really like this system. The overnight treatment lotion is the key, for me anyway. If you have sensitive skin and are sensitive to fragrance in products, than this system is not for you. It is not fragrance-free. Try Eucerin products instead. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
 I have been using this ...by Natalie in Bronx, NY on 10/26/05I have been using this system since mid-august. At first, my skin got worse before it got better, but that's because it draws out the pimples that are in incubation stage. Now my skin is clear (except for the random pimple here and there -- but hey, I'm human) and I am so happy. I will say that the daytime lotion does add some shine to the face...I find myself having to take a blotting sheet to my t-zone. This system, with a good moisturizer has done the trick for me. Has anyone ever tried taking hair, nail, and skin vitamins? One taken everyday...you will see the difference. Anyway, the advanced system made me feel confident again (I'm 25 and just developed adult acne -- yay growing up!) and not ashamed of my acne anymore. I especially like the overnight acne lotion. I used it every night until my acne cleared up and now I only use it as a spot treatment whenever a blemish rears its ugly head. After 2 months of using it I noticed I now have more acne then before. The cleanser feels nice, day lotion is ok I like the SPF, but the night lotion makes me feel like I have mask on all night, makes skin very tight and dry when first using it -- not great for a romantic night since it feels like your constantly stretching your face if you move it at all. This product worked right when I used it and keeps my acne away. I am 23 and have had on and off breakouts all my life and nothing I have ever tried continuously keep my face looking good.  I was ready to give this ...by Linda in Los Gatos, CA on 9/9/05I was ready to give this only 1 star. After one week of use, my skin was flakey and I got a terrible breakout of cystic acne.
Now, I am ready to give it 3 stars because I eliminated using the night cream and I use the skin polish only in the shower. I am using the day lotion daily and it is working fine. Actually, my skin has really calmed down.
Other times I need to wash (I won't use the skin polish more than 1x a day and it irritates my eyes if I don't rinse it in the shower), I use Aquanil cleanser. At night, I use a prescription called Retrinal 0.1. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||

The cleanser is ok, but the day cream made my skin very oily and greasy. The overnight cream wasn't that bad, but it was very thick and extremely hard to get out of the bottle. After using this kit for a month, I had worse acne than before. The only thing that I liked was that it had a sunscreen. Now I currently use AcneFree and it is the best kit I've ever used. If you want worse acne and a gross, oily, greasy face than buy this overpriced kit. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
