It works as well or better! I've tried TONS of different products, and it seems that this is finally the right amount and combo of medication to get the job done. I still have occasional breakouts, but they are much smaller and go away much quicker than before, and there is a significant improvement in blackheads. I have oily skin and it hasn't dried it out too much, but I think it was accustomed to the Differin so maybe that's why I didn't have a problem. One thing to remember is that benzoyl peroxide makes your skin worse at first (just like prescription acne meds) because it's getting all the nasty stuff up...so if you don't see improvement at first, just stick with it! | I love both the polishing ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 4/9/05I love both the polishing cleanser and the sun shield lotion. The cleanser exfoliates well without being too harsh or too gritty. The sun shield lotion is light and absorbs quickly. I have found that the acne control lotion is too harsh for me. I have to use very little and only on my T zone. It has significantly reduced my breakouts but I have problems with it drying out my skin if I'm not extremely careful. I also wish this system came with a moisturizer for overnight. I usually buy fragrance free products and I was pleasantly surprised; I liked the light fragrance the products have. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
 I've dealt with mild to ...by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 4/5/05I've dealt with mild to severe acne for the past 7 years. I've used a number of prescription pills and topical treatments (prescription and OTC), and kits like this. As a frequent Neutrogena consumer, I had to try this after ProActiv burned my skin after 3 days use, and Murad Acne Complex worked a lot better but didn't last. This didn't improve my skin, but: 1) the Polishing Scrub is great, it smoothes my skin out nicely. 2) The Benzoyl Peroxide Night lotion is harsh like the ProActiv Repairing lotion - I could only use a miniscule amount per blemish and not on consecutive nights, or else it looks like a burn on the places I applied it, and they become itchy (I've since stopped using BP stuff altogether). 3) The Daily SPF lotion is the best part - lightweight, oil free, absorbs very quickly and smoothes out my skin in preparation for make-up (wish it was sold separately). If nothing else, I learned it wasn't just ProActiv, but that my skin has an allergic reaction to BP, so beware. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

The day cream goes on greasy and stays shiny because of the sunscreen. The night cream isn't enough- shouldn't have more day cream than night cream since the night cream is what's really important. | This is a phenomenal ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 3/31/05This is a phenomenal product. I don't use the Skin Polishing Cleanser because it's too gooey and doesn't really work. Instead, I use Nivea For Men, which works A LOT better. The true gems in this package are the lotion and more importantly, the overnight acne product. The overnight acne cream works so well and doesn't dry my skin at all. I stopped using it for two nights and I had a HUGE breakout that took almost four days to bring back under control. Without the overnight acne control cream, I'd still be breaking out completely. This product would be a lot better if you could get the overnight acne cream on its own. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

The cleanser just dried the heck out of my skin. Made it feel very tight and flakey. I have normal to oily skin. The moisturizer actually did nothing to help un-dry the skin. I was shocked. But what is somewhat useful was the spot treatment. I kept that and threw the rest away. Please do not buy this product, especially if you have dry skin! | I have been using so many ... by Patience in Renton, WA on 3/28/05I have been using so many products for my acne (over the counter and medical solutions) but nothing has worked! So I decided to use the Neutrogena Acne Advanced Solutions.
I have been using these products for three weeks now. The first week was terrible. The night cream dried up my skin so bad, my face was peeling off! So I stopped using the products for a few days and start again once the drying got better. Now, my face has cleared up and it looks much better. I will continue and see how it goes for the next month.

| HORRIBLE!!!!!! DO NOT ... by Anonymous in Undisclosed on 3/25/05HORRIBLE!!!!!! DO NOT PURCHASE! It is meant to help acne...but it completely made it worse. I now have recurring problems on my cheeks (where I NEVER break out) because of this. It did not do anything to the areas where I did have problems, and still do. It completely stripped my skin of all moisture whatsoever, so when I put on makeup, I looked like an alligator. Ugh - waste or money. Please save yours. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
