Better results, easier than Proactiv

I have always had trouble with pimples appearing since my teen years. Most acne cleansers would seem to help at first and then shortly after clearing I would start to get large painful pimples. I started using Proactiv and it was working okay, but slowly. After a while scarring started to clear from my face due to a lot less recurrence of pimples. Proactiv somehow deactivated my account out of the blue for no reason at all. I called them about it and they said they didn't know what happened. Since I didn't get my automatic shipment as expected, I ran out of product and almost immediately I started to get pimples again, so I decided to try this Neutrogena kit. It works great and is a lot easier to apply than the Proactiv system and I do not need all of the extra add on products such as the daily oil control. I seen comments about the acne lotion drying out someone's face if left on for more than 10-15 minutes. I seen a similar Neutrogena product in the store that actually had the same items, except there was a "Night time" acne lotion. Perhaps this was what the other reviewer ordered, because I do not have any problems with the regular acne lotion and drying. Overall I am pleased with this product and it's half the cost and lasts the same amount of time, maybe even a little longer between having to buy it again.

This Product is terrible! i have a Acne, on my Forehead, and somewhat on my Chin, i used this Product for about 5 days and just couldn't stand it anymore! it made my Cheecks RED and they HURT! everytime i had a pimple, i'd pop it, and when i used this Product it just scabed over! and made even MORE acne, totally dried out my face, and made my forehead ALL wrinkly! i switched back to useing the product i used before, and now its EVEN WORSE! i just wish i never even consitered it!

yikes! this stuff is pretty bad. I used it for a month and my skin was looking pretty good at first, but then AFTER awhile my skin started to get really prone to it and then it made my skin break out like crazy! (same thing with Proactiv) and even using the product while my skin was bad still didn't help heal my pimples whatsoever. After awhile it just felt like i was just putting it on my face....for nothing. It was pretty useless after awhile so i tossed it out. After using the cleanser my skin was soooo dry! it felt and looked like i had lizard skin. but i'm done with that system. Now I use Aveeno Clear Complexion Bar/and or Oatmeal Soap, tone with Dickinson's Daily Facial Witch Hazel Toner, and then moisturize with neutrogena's visibly even products. and for a "on the spot" treatment i use pure tea tree oil. my skin looks much better now. I honestly hate "skin care systems" they sell in stores because usually they work at first and then after awhile your skin goes nuts and the system doesn't work anymore.

Discontinued after 2 weeks.

I used the product as directed and after the first two washes, I cut back to once a day because my skin was tight and dry immediately after rinsing the wash. The acne lotion made my skin hot and irritated, often sensitive to the touch and the last step did nothing to soothe my skin.

I found this product by reading The Skin Type Solution (a great book). I've been using it for over a year and it worked wonders for the first 10 months or so. My chemistry seems to be changing and it isn't working quite as well, but it's still nice and nonirritating. I did just recommend it to a friend and she's having great success!

I can only use acne products from Neutrogena. I live in Vietnam , so there's no Neutrogena here. I had to ask my friend buy me this system and wait 3 weeks to get. I've been using this system for more than 2 weeks, it doesn't make your skin completely clear but it can improve a lot. I'm using with Acne mark fading peel and On the spot treatment. I continue to use in order to have clearer skin. Overall, it's a good product.
